OUTSOURCING:

The split of outsourcing and internally manufactured/assembled parts in the paint

manufacturing industry depends on the individual company's production processes and
strategies. Some companies may choose to outsource certain components, such as raw
materials or specialized parts, while keeping the assembly and manufacturing in-house.
Others may choose to outsource the entire manufacturing process, while retaining some in-
house functions such as product development and marketing. It is also important to
consider the cost savings associated with outsourcing certain components, as well as the
need for quality control and timely delivery. Gobi's Paints owns and operates two state-of-
the-art manufacturing units located at Raiwind Road, Lahore. At Gobi’s two types of paints
are manufactures one is industrial and the other is decorative. In the paint manufacturing
industry, outsourcing is used to lower the cost of raw materials, parts, and services.
Common components that are outsourced include pigments, calcium carbonate and
additives. The other main component which is Resins is manufactured inhouse by the Gobi’s
paint. Finely crushed solids in a variety of shades are called pigments, and they are used in
paint to add color, toughness, consistency, and other qualities. It is also a significant raw
material, making up one-third of the cost of all raw materials. At Gobi’s paint manufacturing
of paint involve the processing of raw materials, such as grinding and sifting, as well as the
packaging of finished paint products. Industrial paint is typically produced in a continuous
process that involves three basic steps: mixing, milling, and blending. And all these process
are done inside the Gobi’s Factory.

1. Price Benchmarking: Comparing prices of paint products offered by competitors. 2.

Performance Benchmarking: Evaluating the performance of paint products based on key
factors such as coverage, longevity, and color vibrancy. 3. Process Benchmarking:
Analyzing the process of producing and distributing paint products to identify inefficiencies
and areas of improvement. 4. Quality Benchmarking: Examining the quality of paint products
from competitors to assess areas of competitive advantage. 5. Customer Satisfaction
Benchmarking: Measuring customer satisfaction with paint products and services to gain
insights into areas of improvement.
