Breast examination
1. Exposure

2. Position: hands behind head (in supine) / hands on hip and press (on sitting)

3. Inspection:
- Asymmetry
- Masses
- Skin changes
- Nipple changes or discharge

4. Palpation: start from the asymptomatic breast first


- Breast: masses or tenderness
- Axillary tail
- Nipple: discharge
- Axillary lymph nodes: ask patient to relax her arm and support the patient arm
with your arm
- Regional lymph nodes: infraclavicular / supraclavicular / cervical

5. Assess masses if present
