Put CSM (auto/manual/test/start) selector switch in manual position. (11.3 ON) . Start the engine by pressing engine start push button (14.6 ON). Engine will attain the speed up to 1500 rpm after running of 3 minutes. Reduce the speed up to 1000 rpm and stop the engine. To reduce the Engine speed, potentiometer in the panel near the engine is to be used. - Put CSM selector switch in start position (I 1.2 ON). - Engage the electromagnetic clutch by pressing clutch ON push button (13.7 ON). 5.Start the pre lubrication system motor (0.37 KW) by pressing the start push button on the NB set starter panel. The lubrication system will run for 180 sec. and it will stop automatically 6. Parallely starting the pre lubrication system ,Start the engine by keep pressing engine start push button up to 300 rpm **, release the start push button. Engine will attain the speed up to 1900 rpm slowly, then increase the speed up to 1500 rpm. To increase the engine speed, potentiometer in the panel near the engine is to be used. 7. Change CSM switch to manual position (11.3 ON). 8. Switch ON 6.6 kV motor VCB by pressing the motor ON push button (I 2.1 ON ).Confirm the same by contacting SS-1 SIC. 9. The motor will be ON and the clutch will be dis-engaged automatically. Now DC generator, flywheel were driven by 6.6 kV motor. 10. Excitation switch in the control panel to be made on. AVR switch is to. Be put in manual mode 11. Switch on the excitation switch SVR, (I 0.5 ON). Monitor DC voltage, By slowly varying the NB voltage potentiometer, DC generator voltage to be brought up to 220 volts. 12. Once the DC output voltage is confirmed, place AVR selector switch in auto mode and Excitation switch (SVR) is to be made OFF. 13. Put CSM selector switch in AUTO position (I 1.0 ON), engine will stop Automatically after idle running of 60 seconds. ‘1 Note : Incase Engine RPM in not reaching 300 rpm within 60 Secs release the start push button and contact the AIC .
