CHEAT SHEET
Move the dial on the top of your camera away from AUTO! Switch to “A’ or ”AV”
Mode,
Choose a aperture number (the F number) that is quite low. Try for around F3.2 or
smaller.
To get good background blur, choose a longer length lens if you have the choice.
If you are using a zoom lens, zoom “in”. This makes the background appear more
blurry.
If possible, try to make sure that you are closer to your subject than your subject is
to the background -
again this maximises background blur!
You are ready to go! Your image should now have some good background blur
and remember you can follow these same steps at any time to get good results!
