The Legend of Naylamp

According to legend, Naylamp was a prince who emerged from the sea on a
totora horse accompanied by his people.
While they were arriving to the Faquisllanga River Valley, Naylamp was carrying
a green idol called Yampallec.

He founded the Chot Temple when he placed the idol to worship. Fempellec,
the last ruler, moved the idol while he was ruling.

Then the years passed, Fempellec received a punishment when he disobeyed

the Gods, the Chot Temple fell while winds and landslides were devastating
Fempellec's empire.

The god Naylamp concentrated his anger while he was claiming his evil deed to
Fempellec.

Fempellec was killed by the priests of his people by being thrown into the sea
with his arms and feet tied.

Finally, the Chimu culture conquered the Sican people while Naylamp was
disconsolate to see his dynasty fall.
