Question -What Spiritual gifts did Samson, Solomon, Hosea, Ruth and Esther have

Samson s spiritual Gift

Samson is described in the Book of Judges chapters 13–16

Judged Leadership gift

Samson was courageous he single handedly fought an entire nation and freed an entire country.
Samson was not afraid to fight any amount of people because he knew the Lord was with him. In
the end, he gave his life fighting God’s battle.

Faith Judges 15:18-19. The end of his life was also his greatest act of faith. He had been
weakened and his eyes had been gouged out. He was a prisoner and was being made a mocker
of. But he turned to the Lord one last time for help and because of his great faith accomplished a
great feat (15:28). He is mentioned in the Hall of Faith (Heb 11:32, 34).

Miracles Samson possessed extraordinary physical strength, ability perform powerful acts
bound by his mother’s promise from the angel by slaying a lion with his bare hands and
massacring an entire army of Philistines using only the jawbone of a donkey to glorify and edify
God in his mission of redemption

Solomon s spiritual gifts

Giving gift

1 Kings 6
God gave King Solomon ability to give by contributing material resources to the ministry of the
Lord in building magnificent temple for God. It stood next to the king's palace, and was both
God's royal palace and Israel's center of worship.

Wisdom gift God gives King Solomon ability to apply knowledge and information for its
greater practical benefit as a king of Israel to impart wise counsel from the two women who
came to him with a dispute live and dead infants

King Solomon wisdom quality bestowed upon him by God. In a dream, God had asked him what
he wanted most, and Solomon replied, “an understanding mind to govern your people, able to
discern between good and evil” (I Kings 3:9)

Leadership gift king Solomon great leadership ability as a king he ruled over Israel. He also
became famous for his wisdom in administration and decision-making. According to Biblical
scriptures, his wisdom was greater than “the wisdom of all the people of the East, and greater
than all the wisdom of Egypt” (1 Kings 4:30) Solomon leader wealth and prosperity helped him
to achieve ingenious reforms, innovations, and the advancement of defence measures. Solomon
made gold and silver as precious stones. Solomon's administration was trade relationships.
Solomon also acquired great wealth, and there were said to be no kings in all the earth who could
compare to him. Under Solomon's reign Israel reached her greatest point as a nation honor,
wealth, power, and respect were hers because of the administration of her greatest king

Hosea spiritual gifts

Prophetic gift Prophecy God gave Hosea The ability to receive and communicate his message
to the Israelite, the truth about God Hosea was a prophet of the kingdom of Israel. He called on
Israel to repent its sins of apostasy and warned of the judgment to come from God. His writings
form the first of the Old Testament books of the Minor Prophets.

Mercy gift God gave Hosea the ability forgive comfort and love the wife in need of restoration
reconciliation and revival.Hosea reassures Gomer that despite her former sin he will keep his
promises. He will love her and be loyal to her. The situation of of Hosea and Gomer foreshadows
the perfect, redeeming, and passionate love that God in Christ has for all his people throughout
history Hosea’s spiritual gift . It is incredible to read of how he stayed faithful, he kept going
back for Gomer and showing her love over and over again. He did not give up on her after the
first time, or even the second. He kept pursuing her until God would tell him to stop. He made a
covenant with her and the Lord that he would remain faithful to her until death separates them

Wisdom gift God gave prophet Hosea ability of counsel to called the leaders of Judah to gain
wisdom from what God had revealed throughout his ministry as they faced the challenges of
Sennacherib's invasion whosoever is wise, let him understand these things; whoever is
discerning, let him know them; for the ways of the Lord are right; and the upright walk in them,
but transgressors stumble in them (Hosea 14:9).

Ruth spiritual gifts

Selfless gift Ruth had selfless gift ability cleaves to her mother-in-law and chooses to stay.

“Entreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will
go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my
God.”(Ruth 1:16) Ruth’s kindness and faithfulness were richly rewarded when she married
Boaz, a wealthy landowner, and became the ancestress of King David.

Helpful gift Ruth ability to help is a powerful testimony to the rewards that await those who are
willing to help others in need.

Esther spiritual gifts

Faith gift God gave Esther ability to have faith and obedient to God when Mordecai when told
her to hide her faith and her people (Esther 2:10). She also accepted Hegai’s advice on what to
was to request before going in to see the king (Esther 2:15)

Selfless gift going before the king without being summoned scared Esther, but she was willing
to do it for other people (Esther 4:16) Esther wasn’t too proud to humble herself before the king
on behalf of her people (Esther 8:3-6)
Conclusion

God as given each one of us spiritual gift every christian is called to use the spiritual gift in God
s service towards achieving the great commission. Before Jesus returned to heaven, he gave the
disciples a command, on the great commission from the book of Matthew 28:19-20.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of
the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And
behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age”As youths we are all obligated to respond to
the call of discipleship
