TRUE – From what data suggests, Asia is the largest continent in the world, covering 29.1 percent of the Earth’s
total land mass.

President Duterte is the 15th incumbent and the best president in the country.
FALSE – The former President, Rodrigo Duterte is not the 15 th incumbent (it was Benigno Aquino III) but the 16 th,
therefore, the statement is false. As for the, “best president in the country”, a lot may agree with this statement,
but not all.

Man has the right to life, liberty and property.


TRUE – Article III; Bill of Rights Section 1 states that: “No person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property
without due process of law, nor shall any person be denied the equal protection of laws.” Everyone has the right
to life and to live in freedom and safety. Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.

The citizens have the right to take up arms and overthrow government.
TRUE – People have the moral right to revolution and may overthrow the government (if it becomes tyrannical)
and install a new, more acceptable one.

A person must always consider the interest of his family before his own happiness.
FALSE – One does not always need to consider the interest of his family, especially if it is against his will and
causes him unhappiness. A person doesn’t have to be selfless all the time to the point that he gives up his own
happiness for others. As long as it is right and it brings him happiness, a person can choose and decide for
himself.

When you love the person, you set him free.


TRUE – If you love someone, you must consider his/her, even if it means you must have to set them free. You
cannot hold on to that person if it’s painful, especially for them. You shouldn’t be the reason why they become
miserable. If setting them free is what’s good for them, then let them go and be happy.
With all the tragedy, social and political turmoil in our world and following the said allegory, what are the
things or event that represent the “cave” today? Expound.

Inside of the cave, there is darkness, ignorance, and people are imprisoned by it, trapped, and unable to see
reality – or the true “forms”. The original intent of Plato’s analogy is to give us a rough idea of how we human
beings are the prisoners of the material world, with only having a limited perception of reality. With that said,
the allegory of the cave can be relevant to politics and the perceptions that social media has created.
