My Reflection on the lesson

During the discussion with miss I learned ‘’PRISM’’ tackles the idea and knowledge and the
preservation of faith. I also want this lesson because it teaches us the history of St. Paul University
Dumaguete from the continent of Europe to Asia. I can say that it is an important discussion because it
tackles the pioneer Paulinian formators Fr. Louis Chauvet and the first sisters. I have learned different
things that Fr. Louis Chauvet is doing like being a priest, a counselor with the main concern for spiritual
welfare, a scholar who struggled against ignorance and false teachings, a musician, a shepherd who gave
special attention to the needy, and a teacher who shared his vision of uplifting the level of life of the
villages. I am amused and feeling great about his different good deeds to his people because even if life
is hard, he still wants to help his parishioners even in a small way of helping. I am amazed at the
outcome of the things that Fr. Chauvet did because he inspired the young girls in the village, and they
became fired by his vision. I also learned different lessons from the life of the first sisters like being
strong and having faith in God even if struggles might affect their life and don’t lose hope and faith in
God. From reading the different ideas and teachings in the PowerPoint I have gained a lesson in life that
faith is strengthened by trials and patience in suffering the paschal way. Based on what I have seen and
learned through the help of the PowerPoint I can say that Paulinians share in the special and unique
history and traditions of the sisters of St. Paul of Chartres. Their life is marked by a Christocentric-
Paschal Spirituality, commitment to the mission, and service to the community through one's charism,
urged on by the Charity of Christ. I also learned through discussion and reading that being a Paulinian he
must be a community-oriented person who is morally sensitive in the service of family, the Church, and
one's country.

When I think of their life back in those dark days, I can really say that they have been
suffering but they still stand and fight for their journey to help others even if their life might be affected.
From the things that happened in their life, they continue to share the word of God and they continue to
dutifully give themselves to the mission and ministry. I have also learned that the sisters have a lack of
experience or mastery of the assigned work or task, but it did not deter them from doing their best, and
they have been rewarded for fulfilling positive results and new opportunities. From that idea, we should
learn that in life even if we lack experience, we must not lose hope in something, and we should think
not to stop but to continue learning even if we fail. In prism, I have learned the formation of the whole
person and it tackles the transformation of the inner and outer self to become like the inner and outer
being of Christ, Himself, it means that we should love and follow the teachings of God in order that
Christ will be formed in us. The world that we live in is putting a big pressure on good people to lower or
even abandon their standards of righteous living. However, despite the temptations and the evils that
surround us every single day, we can still find the true essence and meaning of living a Christ-centered
life today. Making Jesus Christ the center of our lives will bring stability and happiness to our lives. I have
also learned that prayer is the life of the heart and responding to a specific vocation in our life or even a
mission is a decision of a heart. I have also learned that every person living has their own vocation that
must be fulfilled. I also learned that a Paulinian is a warm, active, simple, and prayerful person. From the
teachings of the school, the students will be developed, and their skills will be sharpened to be ready for
the future. Life is short we must fulfill it with good deeds and follow the life and teachings of Christ.
