Panther marked a milestone for the black population worldwide because its identifying features
highlight the celebration and praise of black culture and raise awareness for their recurring
issues. In fact, this text was one of the first movies to have a primarily black cast and star a
black superhero that is not under the supervision of a white man. As such, Black Panther
successfully represented the black culture in a healthy and promoting way to its younger
audience. This film's significant influence on its audience is derived from the representation of
several black cultures at once. These cultures range from the Western hip-hop cultures depicted
in Oakland in the film's opening scenes to the Eastern cultures of African countries displayed in
Wakanda. Furthermore, the Eastern black beauty in Black Panther was conveyed from different
points of view. We initially saw the rich, creative, and technological side, which is partially
symbolically representing black culture, in Wakanda. This was followed by the representation of
positivity among poverty explored by Nakia in The Golden City. Race and ethnicity were also
analyzed in this film through its plot and themes. As King T'Challa felt responsible for the people
of Wakanda, he initially refused to share their resources to help the thousands of other black
populations around the world who are suffering and struggling; This is one of the main conflicts
in Black Panther. As the conflict was resolved, Wakanda opened itself up to the rest of the world
and began using its resources to help other black people in need. This resolution demonstrated
the relatability and connection among black people worldwide as they have endured similar
everyday struggles. Nevertheless, the release of this film did not occur without backlash. This is
inevitable when discussing sensitive topics such as race and racism, but thankfully, the negative
