This document outlines the course content for ME 656: Metal Working, a 3 lecture, 2 tutorial/practical credit course offered by the Department of Mechanical Engineering at MBM University, Jodhpur. The course covers the theory of plasticity, rolling processes, forging processes, other metal working processes like extrusion and wire drawing, and friction and lubrication in metal working. The 5 units cover topics like yield criteria, rolling force calculations, forging load determinations, extrusion analysis, and lubrication types for different metal working processes. Reference books are also listed.
