EXAMINATION TIMETABLE Timetable Clash

AVOID CLASH IN TIMETABLE

The examination timetables are decided by Pearson Edexcel. It is the candidates’ responsibility to check carefully the relevant examination timetables before submitting entries so as to avoid timetable clashes among subjects entered and prohibited
combination of subjects with GCE / IGCSE / IAL examinations, or across different examinations under Pearson Edexcel, or across different examinations between Pearson Edexcel and Cambridge International. Candidates should avoid entering the
subjects which are scheduled in the same examination session (i.e. AM or PM session). Normally, for those subjects with timetable clash, no special arrangements will be made and candidates are required to cancel either one subject. Examination fees
paid are NOT refundable and NOT transferable to other examination centres (i.e. from HKEAA to other authorized examination centres), or from one examination to another (i.e. from IAL to GCE) / a later series (i.e. from May/June 2023 to
January 2024 series) or for other purposes. Please contact the HKEAA for further advice before submitting the registration if candidates wish to sit both subjects in the same sessions. Candidates who wish to sit more than one examination session on the
same day are strongly advised to check and ensure that there is sufficient break time (e.g. at least two hours) between examination sessions for travelling and taking rest. Please note that the examinations may be held at different examination centres which very likely
require travelling and the HKEAA cannot guarantee that a nearby examination centre between sessions can be arranged. Candidates who arrive the assigned examination centre later than the examination start time will not be permitted any extra time.

# IGCSE 4FR1 French, 4GN1 German, 4SP1 Spanish and 4CN1 Chinese scheduled on the same session will be examined consecutively.
※ Each of Unit 3 and Unit 6 of IAL Biology, Chemistry and Physics contains a practical written examination which is offered as an international alternative to internal school-based assessment.
$ The pre-release materials for IAL Biology Unit 5 (WBI15), IAL English Language Unit 4 (WEN04), GCE A-Level Economics B Unit 3 (9EB0/03) and GCE A-Level Business Unit 3 (9BS0/03), if applicable, will be given to candidates one month before the examination
through participating schools (school candidates) or by post (private candidates).

The speaking tests of GCE Chinese (Paper 3) will be held between mid-April and early May 2023 while the speaking tests of IGCSE Language Subjects (Paper 3) will be held between late-March and April 2023. Both speaking tests will be arranged on weekdays, weekends
or public holidays subject to candidature, availability of examination venues and oral examiners. Speaking Test will be audio-recorded as per examination regulation. The admission letter with the exact examination dates, time and venues will be sent to private candidates by
post or school candidates through participating schools. Candidates are required to make themselves available for the speaking test on the scheduled date specified on the admission letter and no rescheduling of the speaking test will be arranged.

Remarks: There may have minor changes on examination timetables made by Pearson Edexcel in a later stage. Please refer to the Admission Form for the final examination schedule.
