The Internship Cell Hansraj College acl Resume Guide Guidelines For Building Your Resume The following are the major sub-heads that should be a part of your resume in the given order: Header FIRSTNAME LASTNAME Gender | Age | Phone Number | Email ID | Linkedin Full name must be written at the top of your resume in Capital Letters, with font size ‘18’. Add your personal information on the top right corner in the following format: E-mail (should be a formal email), Phone Number (+91 XXXXXX XXXXX) You can also mention your permanent address, LinkedIn Page Link, Instagram/ Facebook Page Link (only if it is relevant to your profile) Objective (Optional @ It is a widely accepted notion that you should start the main body of the resume with your objective(s), but it is not mandatory to state an objective. © If you do want to state your objective(s), you are advised to use simple words and short sentences ¢ The objective should not exceed more than 2 lines of the document. 1. What can be the length of my CV? Please make sure that your CV is only one-page long. CVs exceeding this length won't be accepted. 2. What would be the consequences if my CV is not up to the mark? The Internship Cell holds the power to reject your application if you fail to follow the guidelines set by the cell. 3. Can I use my template rather than using the template provided by Internship Cell? Yes, you can use different templates as long as the sequence of headlines is in the same sequence and manner as provided by the Cell. 4. What if I don't have any Internships/live projects to mention? Make sure that no section is left blank in the CV. If you don't have content that could be added to any of the sections, kindly delete that section. 5. How to calculate your Xth and XIIth scores? For class Xth, you can mention the CGPA or percentage as given in your report card. On the other hand, for class XIIth mention your aggregate percentage of all the five main subjects. Don’t use the additional subject or best four percentage. 6. How to calculate your college semester grade? The College semester grade is mentioned as SGPA, and it can be found in the score- card. While for the yearly CGPA, it’s mentioned as CGPA). 7. Who should include Instagram/ Facebook Page Links or LinkedIn Page Link? If you have a well-established social media page which you find relevant to share with the HR, you should mention their links.
