EMPLOYEE REFERRAL PROGRAM

Policy brief & purpose


The Employee Referral Program will provide an incentive award to a current employee who
brings new talent to the company by referring applicants who are selected and successfully
employed.

Applicant
Applicants are candidates not currently employed with Byju’s The Learning Application.
Referred applicants cannot be current employees of Byju’s The Learning in any capacity, to
include temporary, time-limited project or contract employees.
1. They should have Never applied to our company. (New candidate altogether)
2. If applied before is eligible for the interview but no incentive will be given

Scope
Who can participate in our employee referral program?
This Employee Referral Program Policy applies to everyone who refers a sales candidate to
our company. All employees from the Business Development Team are eligible for this.

Policy elements

1. What is an employee referral bonus?


Our company will give out rewards for every referrer. If you know someone who you think
would be a good fit for a BDA position at our company, feel free to refer them. If we end up
hiring your referred candidate, you are eligible for monetary rewards as per the conversion
ratio of your referrals.

2. What is Conversion Ratio for a Referrer?


Number of Referred Candidates Joined / Total Number of Referred Candidates
Special Rewards
We also have a set of special rewards for referrers reaching a certain milestone

Reward Calculation

Reward for every referral joined = Rs. 3000

Rules for rewards


1. The referring employee must be employed on the day their referral achieves 60 days
of employment.
2. Incentives are paid if the prospect is hired within 9 months from the referral date.
3. We guarantee that rewards will be paid out along with the salary after the month of
Joining.
4. All rewards will be paid accordingly. If two or more employees refer the same candidate,
only the first referrer will receive the referral rewards.
5. The referred and the referring employee needs to be on the rolls of the organization when
the payout is made.

Payout Dates

Example
If a Referred Candidate happens to join us on 25th December’2020 (Onboarding date), will
complete the program on 1st March 2020 in such a case Reward Payout is done along with the
monthly salary i.e 1st April 2021.

Guidelines
1. We encourage you to check our open positions and consider your social networks
and external networks as potential resources for referred candidates.
2. Please contact ( WeRefer@byjus.com) for more information.
3. We may change our referral incentive program over time to add more interesting
incentives.
4. We also reserve the right to abolish certain rewards if they prove ineffective or inefficient.
We’ll communicate any change clearly and timely.
5. Employees who referred candidates before a reward was abolished will still receive
the appropriate reward.
