as.edu CourseDescription Humansarestorytellers,andmanyofthestorieswetellfollowsimilarpatterns.Inthisclass intendedtodemonstratetherelationsamongvariousformsofculturalexpression,wewillstudy fourofthesepersistentnarratives:starcrossedlovers,ragstoriches,thequest,anddreamer hero.Oneclassictextwillserveasthecoreofeachoftheseunits,andwewillexamineanumberof adaptationsofthestoryinavarietyofartisticmedia. StudentLearningObjectives/Outcomes Inthiscourse,studentswill: examineandanalyzeavarietyofworksfromthehumanities,and applyconsideredanalysisandrespondtoworksinthehumanitiesasexamplesofhuman expressionandaestheticandphilosophicalprinciples.
