Judicial review in France:

France has an ex post constitutional review,but used to be famous for having a ex ante system.
France has now concrete review,but used to have an abstract review.
France has a centralized system of review,the Constitutional Council has the task to review the new
laws.The Counstitutional Council can reveice this task from lower courts.
France is a monist country. Under French law, ratified treaties are considered to be superior to
domestic legislation. However ratification must often be approved by the French Parliament,
especially in cases where the treaty "modifies provisions which are matters for statute" (Article 55 of
the French Constitution 1958)
