In 10 sentences or more, discuss the real meaning of Noli Me
Tangere. (50 points)

Answer:
Noli Me Tangere is a novel that our National Hero, Dr. Jose Rizal wrote.
This novel means “Touch me not”. Yet it has the original title that is called “The
Social Cancer”. Expressing the title with connection to the life story of how the
system of the Spaniard is abusive and corrupt in the Philippines. In the story,
Crisostomo Ibarra came back to the Philippines from Europe but his father died
shortly before his return. His heart was broken because he was told that his father
died in prison because he killed a tax collector and the reason for his father’s
killing is the false accusation that is made by the friar named Father Damaso. Later
on, Father Damaso insults the new school and Don Rafael father of Crisostomo
Ibarra. Out of anger he almost killed father Damaso because he knew that Father
Damaso is the reason for his father’s death. Walking through the next page, Father
Salvi tried to sabotage Crisostomo by falsely accusing him of being the leader of
the rebel even though he is not. With this Crisostomo was haunted by the
Spaniards. Elias helped Crisostomo to escape, from the report Crisostomo Ibarra
was dead.
With this, a little detail and explanation of what happened in the story show
us the type of cancer that Jose Rizal talks about. A disease that is terrible that a
person can’t bear to be touched. This causes pain and agonies to all of the people in
the Philippines because of the injustices that have been done by the Spaniards.
With this, Jose Rizal wants to open the hearts and minds of the Filipino people to
how the Spaniards treat them unfairly and their cruelty is very visible.

2. El Filibustrismo's real and deeper meaning is "The Rebel".

In 10 sentences or more, discuss the real meaning of El
Filibusterismo. (50 points)

Answer:
El Felibusterismmo is the sequel to the novel Noli Me Tangere. Part two of
the story tells us that Crisostomo Ibarra survived and changed his identity
becoming a rich jeweler Simoun. In the story, Simon uses his wealth to make the
Spanish corrupt and abusive regime fall. And also he intended to save Maria Clara
from the Covenant. In the story, Simoun plotted a revolutionary act because he
wants to put an end to the Spanish cruelty and also to seek revenge for the death of
his father. As the story goes up and down Simon tells a good Filipino priest about
the jewelry and the priest throws all of them to remove the greed, violence, and
evil that is been made. By digging it deeper “ The Rebel” implies how Simoun is
so dedicated to having his revenge and revolution. This stands as the action with a
force that he thinks he needs because of what he has witnessed about the unjust
way of treating the Filipinos in the Noli Me Tangere. In the El Filibusteristmo
Simoun wants to take action by force and even the cost of lives matters just to fight
the immoral acts of the Spaniards.

Observing the novel El Felibusterismo emphasizes the government system

of the Philippines under the Spaniards that is dominated by friars. On how evil they
have done to the Filipinos and our country Philippines. Jose Rizal made this with
its connection to the word Felibustero which means being revolutionary or
rebellion. For the sake of our country even if it will cost Rizal’s life still he made
it. And this will forever remain in our history
