    Bob: What are you doing this Christmas, Bill?

    Bill: Well, today after work I'm taking the train back to my hometown. I'm going to
    spend it with my folks up north.

    Bob: That's nice!

    Bill: Yeah, I guess it will be cold and rainy as usual, but it will be nice to see my
    folks. It's been a long time.

    Bob: So when are you coming back?

    Bill: I'll be back after New Year's. I start work again on January 2. What about you?
    What are you doing for Christmas?

    Bob: Oh you know; my in-laws are coming to town.

    Bill: Oh, the in-laws...

    Bob: Yeah, the in-laws...

    Bill: That's always fun.

    Yeah. Well, they're going to be here for three days. And we're going to celebrate at
    home with the family. We can't travel with the baby.

    Bill: Right. It's your first Christmas, isn't it?

    Yes, his first! He was born in February.

    Bill: Great! Well, I've got to get going. I've got a lot to finish up before I go. Merry
    Christmas!
    Bob: Merry Christmas!
