1) VDM Installation

NOTE:

 Minimum .Net Framework Ver 2.0 is required to install the VDM. (Download .net framework)
 RealScan G-10 Device Driver should be installed before VDM Setup.
 Windows Administrator rights is required to install the setup.

1). Go to NECI_VDM_Setup_Ver_1.0.0.0\VDM Setup folder

Click NECI_VDM_Setup to start VDM installation.

2). You can select or change the installation path of VDM.

Click Next to proceed VDM installation.

3). Check the “Create a desktop shortcut” option

Click Next to continue installation.

4.) Click Install button to install VDM.

5). Check “Launch NECI_VDM_SUPREMA” option and click Finish.

6). Configure DM IP and Port in application and Click Register Start Service button.

7). Device Status and VDM Service Status is shown in application.

8) If any changes to be made in IP/Port Configuration then first Click Stop Service and then edit IP/Port
values and then click Start Service.

2) Uninstall VDM Setup

1) Run VDM Configuration application and then click Uninstall Service button and close the VDM
configuration application. Now go to add or remove programs to uninstall the NECI_
VDM_SUPREMA Setup.

Note: To uninstall the VDM setup, VDM service should be uninstalled first from the VDM Configuration
application.

3) Troubleshoot
Issue solution

1) Device immediately stop capture after start Clean the prism of device .
capture without placing anything on device
prism.
2) Stops responding to start capture from Remove device USB and plug again after 3-6
client application seconds.
Or
Run VDM Configuration application and restart
VDM service.
3) Scanner doesn’t stop capturing Remove device USB and plug again after 3-6
seconds.
4) Scanner doesn’t capture finger. Put some moisture to fingers ,it may be cause due
to excessive dryness.
5) Debug and Logs Logs are stored in Logs folder located at VDM
installation path.
