Ch. 1 The young wealthy Nightingale is at a party her parents throw for the
poorer children in the neighborhood. She takes a young girl who does not enjoy
the noise of the party to her old nurser. They did out a few old dolls that have
been bandaged in bandages. This shows the dream that Florence has had scenes
early childhood to be a nurse.

Ch. 2 The family begins to head back to the city when Florence question if they
are doing enough for the poor. It shows the environment she grew up in and her
family dynamics. We she her family not believe she can be a nurse.
