Animal biotechnology is one of the critical subfields of biotechnology that deals with

using animals, especially transgenic animals, in many different sectors. Even while these

transgenic animals may serve to improve both human and animal welfare, the animals utilized in

the study may suffer. This paper discusses the moral dilemmas brought on by animal

experimentation and the creation of transgenic animals. A discussion of the "conditioned ethical

blindness" phenomenon is also included. One approach to dealing with these issues is to look for

alternatives, such as (reduction, refinement, replacement, and responsibility), to lessen the use of

animals in scientific activities. These strategies can be employed intelligently and sequentially to

avoid unethical animal manipulation for specific animal biotechnology techniques. There does

not seem to be much debate regarding the positive effects of animal biotechnology on human

welfare. However, when using animals as a model, stringent adherence to ethical standards, the

precautionary principle, and scientific risk assessment must be made. Some ethical issues are still

up for debate, and people's opinions, cultural backgrounds, and religious beliefs may influence

how they respond. Another factor affecting how people, organizations, and society see and

respond to critical ethical issues is "conditional ethical blindness."
