Other sources that
discuss about human and
nature :-
Islam is a religion which regards the environment as an integral part of one's faith
in God, the manifestation of one's faith can be seen as inheritors of human
behaviour towards the environment. Therefore, Islam has a very detailed
relationship with the concept of preservation and conservation of nature (the
environment).
School and learning institution should be taught the importance of creating a better
world than what we have today. The main ingredients for developing a better world
will be to avoid war, terrorism and racism, and to promote the attitudes of loving,
caring and sharing.
This world needs to be well cared for and preserved starting now for the good and
benefit of future generations.
OPINION
OPINION
In my view, nature is not something "out there" and man is an "insider".Nature purposely
creates more life for man. Man and nature are independent of each other which rich
diversity of interdependent life, including us. By viewing nature as an independent, inherently
unfriendly force that can be manipulated, we put man's existence at risk. We must replace
this deadly mental framework by aligning our thoughts and actions with natural impulses to
achieve more life. As a man bears a responsibility, we should take it seriously and be
concerned about the relationship between man and nature. Not only in science but as a
creature to Allah.
MAISARAH
In my view, human and nature are very related to each other. Human is responsible to preserve the
environment for the best future. Also,Human-induced environmental problems are cascading and
increasingly affecting the ecosystem, human health and well-being. Human activities, awareness and habits
are of paramount importance in remedying the current state of environment. The shaping of attitude,
values, perception, commitment and practice of human beings necessary to preserve and protect the
environment is closely associated with their belief, worldview, tradition and culture. Hence, religion plays an
influential role in developing new patterns of behavior toward the environment. In the context of Malaysia,
it is evident that the condition of the environment in Malaysia is worsening as the country continues to
industrialize dramatically. As a country with over 60% Muslims, it is necessary to look at environmental
preservation from an Islamic perspective
UMAIRAH
In my opinion, what exists on God’s earth has a privilege. Man and nature are complementary
to each other. What Allah SWT created has a function as well as “wisdom”, not just
created. I would like to relate that by the beginning of 2020, the world was already affected
by the COVID-19 epidemic which caused all sectors to stop operating to break the COVID-19
chain. What we could see, at that point, was that the environment was very clean. The river
water reached a clear level. As we know, the environmental contamination today is because of
the human hands who commit heinous acts that damage the environment by dumping garbage,
endless manufacturing, disposal of toxic, etc. Therefore, as human beings, we must take good
care of nature, as mentioned in the Qur'an, as Allah SWT commands us to do amar ma'ruf
and nahi mungkar. So, let us create love for our nature.
HUSNINA
AISHAH From my perspective, definitely man and nature are inseparable. As such, man must take the
proactive measures to maintain his good relationship with nature. We live together on the same earth
with the same role that is as divine beings. Both creatures have their own purpose and role. Among
all creations in the earth, man is placed on the highest pedestal in the hierarchy of creations (has
been chosen to be Khalifah). To fulfill their role as God's representative, human beings are responsible
for prospering, reviving the nature with good care in return for the results and benefits provided by
the nature to human beings. It is like a "given-taken" concept in order to ensure the balance of
nature. The environment must be seen as one component of the ecosystem which has to be respected,
valued, and sustained. Positive behavior can promote permanent environmental sustainability, while
negative behavior can lead to environmental damage.
