INTRODUCTION (10 pt).

An introduction is about 400-600 words, covering the aims of the research and provide an
adequate background. Indicate the aims of research in the last paragraph. (10 pt)

The manuscript is written on A4 (210 × 297 mm) size with (Margin paper; Top = 3 cm, Left
= 2 cm, right = 2 cm, and bottom = 2 cm). All Scientific names of a species and local
language should be presented in italic. Measurement unit should be written by the
International Standard. Minus index (m -2) are recommended to be used rather than using a
text such as “per-quadrate”.

The reference should be from scientific journals that published in the last 10 years (10 pt).
Citation style should in the sentence shoul be follong the APA style. The examples on how to
cite below presented at below:

Nane (2019) suggested that … … … (for one author)

Nane and Paramata (2020) found … … … (two author)
Nuralim et al., (2020) show … … … (More than two-author)

… … … decreased gradually (Nane, 2019)

… … … have a negative impact (Nane & Paramata, 2020)
… … … increased the mortality rate (Nane, 2020; Nane & Paramate, 2020; Nuralim et al. 2020)
… … … (Nane, 2019; 2020)
… … … (Queensland Health, 2017a; 2017b)

Use only the surnames of your authors in text (e.g., Smith & Brown, 2014) - however, if
you have two authors with the same surname who have published in the same year, then
you will need to use their initials to distinguish between the two of them (e.g., K.
Smith, 2014; N. Smith, 2014). Otherwise, do not use initials in text.

MATERIAL AND METHODS (10 pt)

Study site. Sub-bab is written in sentence case and italic, then followed with the next
explanation. Materials and methods should emphasize the procedures of data collection and
data analysis. The study site is recommended to be presented by showing its picture scale, the
position of the north direction, and the GPS position (see Figure 1).

Figure 1. Study site. The red dot (●) indicates the location of sea urchin sampling at Blue Marlin
Beach (0°29'37.3"N 123°04'24.0"E), Tomini Bay, Indonesia. (9 pt)

Replace the sub-bab “Method 1” with your sub-title.

Method 2. Txxxxxxxx xxxxxx xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx xxxxxx xxxxx xxxxxxx xxxxx xxxxx. Note:

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION (10 pt)

Results and Discussion should be written as a series of connecting sentences; however, for a
manuscript with long discussion should be divided into subtitles. The results should be clear
and concise.

Resul1 1. Txxxxxxxx xxxxxx xxxxx Note: Replace the sub-bab “Result 1” with your sub-title.
Figures and tables should be clearly presented. The number of tables is consecutive with their
appearance in the text. The caption of the picture is written under the picture, while the title of
a table is written above the table. Colored figures can only be accepted if the information in
the manuscript can lose without those images; the chart is preferred to use black and white
images. (see Figure 1 and Table 1).
Result 2. Txxxxxxxx xxxxxx xxxxx. Note: Replace the sub-bab “Result 2” with your sub-title.
Figures and tables caption are written in bold letter. Table presented in justify to the width of
the table (font 10 pt) and the figure caption is presented in hanging (font 9 pt). The figures
should be readable and at least have a resolution of 300 DPI. Table is made with the open
model (without the vertical lines) as shown below:

All of the scientific name of organism that have mentioned before at introduction (e.g.
Diadema setosum), then no need to write the name of genus in complete but it was
abbreviated as D. setosum. However, it no need to abbreviate if the genus name present the
caption of figure (see Caption figure 1)

CONCLUSION

The conclusion contains a description that should answer the objectives of the research.
Provide a clear and concise conclusion. Do not repeat the Abstract or describe the results of

the research. Give a clear explanation regarding the possible application and/or suggestions
related to the research findings.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Recognize those who helped in the research, especially funding supporters of your research.
Include individuals who have assisted you in your study: Advisors, Financial supporters, or
may other supporters i.e. Proof-readers, Typists, and Suppliers who may have given materials.

REFERENCES

All references should be written in APA citation style. Cite only items that you have read.
Please use reference manager applications, like Mendeley, Zotero, etc. The electonic sources
should be presnted with DOI or URL except print-version.

The number of references should be more than 25 references and 80% of the references
should be from the journal articles. It's better if it comes from international journals and
proceedings from the last 10 years, Your contribution in that citation will help us to improve the
quality and internasionalization of the publication in Tomini Journal of Aquatic Science.
