9/28/2009 Scheduler Problem: Scheduler App is not usable. Generating ‘ERROR - No Control Descriptor for skdviewer’ in the
not working appserver console
at all Cause: Control-Registry.xml and component-registry.xml are missing references to the Scheduler.
Remedy: 1. Make a back up copy of two files inside the VM. C:\Maximo\applications\maximo\properties\control-
registry.xml’ and ‘C:\Maximo\applications\maximo\properties\component-registry.xml’.
2. Copy and paste new versions of these files having the same names. The new files can be found in the same
folder as this ‘known issues’ doc , ‘control-registry.xml’ and ‘component-registry.xml’ dated 10/1/2009
3. Rebuild the maximo.ear file and restart the application server.
9/28/2009 Scheduler Problem: Scheduler is not enabled in ‘Security Groups’ for any Maximo security group by default

‘Go To’ Remedy: Login as Wilson, Go To --> Security --> Security Groups, filter on the ‘MAXADMIN’ security group. Go
Menu to the ‘Applications tab, filter on Scheduler, and grant access to the Scheduler application. Logout as user
Wilson and log back into Maximo.
