SPARE PARTS... 14.2 OUTFITS Fiery PARTI L ISI Chee CSEFS-920627 PARTI-GI LPI INTENT It is the intent of these Specifications and General Arrangement Plan attached hereto (herein called the "Specifications" collectively) to describe the details of technical matters in the contract i.e, performance, capacity, material, construction, equipment etc. of the Vessel. The Vessel including hull, machinery and equipment shall be designed, constructed, equipped, inspected, tested and delivered to the Buyer (ie., the Owner) by the Builder in accordance with the Specifications, CSBC SPAIS (Shipbuilding Process and Inspection Standard), CSBC QISSP (Quality and Inspection Standard for Ships Painting) Details in design, construction, installation, inspection, testing and workmanship not covered by the above shall be performed under the working plans and the standard practice of the Builder. Material, machinery and equipment shall be generally in accordance with the current manufacturers’ standards, unless otherwise specifically agreed or stated herein. It shall be understood that anything not mentioned in the Specifications but required by the specified Classification Society and/or national and international Regulations relevant to this type of ship shall be provided by the Builder. Should there be any inconsistency among the Specifications, CSBC SPAIS and CSBC QISSP, the Specifications shall govern unless otherwise specifically agreed. Should there be any inconsistency between Specifications and General ‘Arrangement Plan, Specifications shall govern unless otherwise specifically agreed. Should there be any inconsistency among descriptions in Hull, Machinery and Electric Specifications, the description of specification which governs arrangement, installation or equipment shall prevail. Even if any item is repeated twice or more in the Specifications, it shall be understood that such item shall be provided once only. Unless otherwise stipulated by the Contract and/or specifically described in the Specifications, all figures given in the specifications shall be understood as being approximate and determined for design purpose, excepting those which are of countable nature. Metric system shall be adopted for designing and construction of hull, machinery and equipment unless otherwise specifically stated in the Specifications. All documents and drawings for designing and construction of the Vessel, which shall be submitted to the Buyer, shall be prepared in English. Ares Gt @SEFS-920627 RULES, REGULATIONS AND CERTIFICATES Rules and Regulations The vessel including its hull, machinery and equipment shall be built under special survey to the Classifigation of the American Bureau of Shipping under the symbols of ABS, +A1 (E), Bulk Carrier, “Strengthen for heavy cargoes, Holds 2, 4, 6 and 8 may be empty”, ESP, SH, SHCM, +AMS, +ACCU, UWILD and China Corporation Register of Shipping under the symbols of CR100 +€, Bulk Carrier, "Strengthened for heavy cargoes, Nos.2, 4, 6 and 8 holds may be empty’, (ESP), CMS (CAU)+ The vessels shall be registered under the flag of the Panama. In general heavy fuel oil available from local market shall be used for the main engine during trials and tests at sea, however, diesel oil may be used for running in or while carrying out certain test of the engine as recommended by the engine makers. The Vessel shall be dry-docked for final inspection and thoroughly clean and painted prior to the Builder's sea trial or the official sea trial at the Builder's choice. At sea trial, output of main engine shall be calculated according to fuel rack indicator and RPM. The Builder's sea trial shall be carried out prior to or same time with the official sea trial in accordance with the Builder's necessity and schedule under a suitable ballast condition. Official Sea Trial The vessel shall be ballasted to a displacement of about 90,000 metric tons with suitable trim. Tests to be carried out in the presence of the Buyer and result of the official sea trials to be submitted to the Buyer. The following trials shall be carried out. 1) Speed trial Speed trial shall be carried out at about 50% MCR*, 75% MCR*, NOR and MCR of the main engine or the output corresponding to the allowable shaft revolutions of the main engine whichever is reached first. The trial speed shall be measured by a DGPS measurement system. Each speed trial shall consist of two (2) runs in the opposite direction consecutively, and the speed shall be obtained as the average of the two (2) speeds of consecutive runs. In case of rough sea and/or shallow water condition and/or at the wind force above 2 on beaufort scale at trial, the speed results to be corrected to calm and deep sea, no wind, no current condition. 2) Anchoring test Anchoring test shall be carried out in accordance with Class rules at a sea depth of about 80 meters. 3)" Crash stop astem test Crash stop aster test shall be carried out commencing with max. astern when the Vessel is running ahead at normal rpm and shall be continued till the Vessel runs to max. astern RPM. However, should any abnormal condition be found during sea trials, the Builder shall open up the parts of the machinery where such condition is found, after consultation with surveyor of the specified Classification Society and/or the Owner's supervisor. . When the Vessel is substantially completed except minor items of work, a light weight measurement and inclining test of the Vessel shall be carried’ out by the Builder in the dock or near the pier. Light Weight Measurement The light weight measurement shall be carried out by reading the draught of the Vessel, by measuring specific gravity of sea water and by an investigation of weights to be added or to be deducted, in the presence of the Owner's supervisor or the person authorized by the Owner. The draught of the Vessel shall be measured at both sides of stem, stem and midship draught marks. Displacement of the Vessel at this light weight measurement shall be determined by reading the draught displacement table on the mean draught obtained from the measured draught. The correction for trim, heel, deflection of the Vessel and specific gravity of sea water at the measurement shall also be made on the calculation in accordance with the Builder's standards. If any superfluous weight is on board the Vessel or any item belonging to the light weight is not on board the Vessel at the time of the light weight measurement, such a weight shall be adjusted later. The calculation of the light weight and deadweight shall be made by the Builder and verified by the Owner's supervisor in order to determine “light weight" and “deadweight”. 10.2 inclining Test The inclining test shall be carried out in the presence of the Owner's supervisor or the person authorized by the Owner and the Classification Society's surveyor, and then the position of the centre of gravity of the Vessel in light condition shall be determined by the calculation based on the results. Total higher tensile steel used shall be about 60% of the total hull steel weight. Application of the steel grade shall be approved by the Classification Society. Structural design shall be made by the Builder based on the requirement of the Classification Society and on the Builder's experiences and shall be approved by the Classification Society. Structural details shall be in accordance with the Builder's standard approved by the Classification Society. The structural work shall be executed in accordance with the Builder's standard practice approved by the Classification Society. Welding shall be performed for the entire hull structure by manual, gravity, electroslag or any other automatic welding including one side welding. Provisional access holes for convenience of access, communications and/or ventilation for the Builder's workers may be opened on the shell, bulkheads and other necessary places, and shall be restored when the work is completed. The location and quantity of provisional access holes shall be agreed by the Buyer. All steel plates, welding electrodes and structural fire protection material should be type approved by the Classification Society and/or national authorities. Insulation material should be asbestos free. No corrosion contro! deduction shalll be applied to all scantlings. In addition to X-ray inspections required by the Classification Society, the Builder to carry out further non-destructive examination on strength member upon request of the Buyer. Structure strength and deck fittings should consider the operation of ballast water exchange by flow-through method and exchange at the open sea. nr Chee H2-1 2.2 23 CSEFS-920627 STEM AND STERN FRAME The stem throughout shall be of fabricated welded steel construction with well rounded forward edge, carefully formed to obtain fair connections to the hull lines, and welded to the shell and keel plates. The form of the stemframe shall be designed to give proper clearances between the propeller and rudder or stemframe to reduce stern vibration. The neck bearing shall have the faculty of steady bearing and stuffing box. The gudgeon bush shall be of phenol resin bushes. The stem frame shall be of mariner type with rudder horn and shall have suitable clearance to accommodate the rudder. The stem frame shall be constructed of fabricated welded steel plate, and propeller boss and gudgeons of rudder horn shall be constructed of cast steel as shown on page 2-3. Other part of rudder horn than gudgeon shall be constructed of steel! plate and/or cast steel. Annealing or normalizing shall be carried out for the cast steel itself. The castings of the stem frame shall be inspected by the ultrasonic test or magaflux test, RUDDER AND RUDDER STOCK The rudder shall be double plated stream lined semi-balanced hanging type and fabricated of steel plate and weldable cast steel for securing the pintle and rudder stock. The movable part of rudder shall have a area ratio about 1/64 against the under water lateral projected area calculated as a multiple of length between perpendicular length and the designed draught. The rudder shall have a single pintle made of forged steel with shrunk-on stainless steel (SUS316) sleeve. Bearing bush shall be of thordon self- lubrication synthetic polymer type. The lifting stopper shall be provided at the top of the rudder shoulder. The rudder stock shall be of one piece of forged steel with shrunk-on stainless steel (SUS316) sleeve in way of neck bearing. Neck bearing shall be of self-lubrication phenol resin bushes. The lower end of the rudder stock shall be connected to the rudder upper casting with key and a screw nut through tapered vertical coupling put into the rudder and the upper end of the rudder stock shall be connected to the tiller with key. The keys and screw nuts shall be of forged steel. The rudder side plating and diaphragm stiffeners shall be of fabricated steel plate and shall be built up in conjunction with upper and middle casting. Inspection cover of pintle shall be of hinged type with SUS316 bolts. The casting parts of the rudder, rudder horn, rudder carrier and neck bearing shall be inspected by the ultrasonic test or magaflux test. Beg. H2-3 Chae 2.4 2.5 CSEFS-920627 RUDDER CARRIER The rudder carrier shall be of cast steel and/or rolled steel with bronze disc and bush. The rudder weight shall be supported by the rudder carrier through the distance piece of cast steel. The distance piece shall be in contact with bronze disc fixed on the top of the rudder carrier. The rudder carrier, distance piece, disc, bush, etc. shall be in halves. The disc on the top of the rudder carrier shall be lubricated by oil bath and the vertical carrier bearing shall be-lubricated by semi-automatic grease lubricator operated by the tiller. SHELL PLATING Flat plate keel shall be fitted throughout the ship's length and shall be connected to the bulbous bow and stern frame. The shell plate shall be gradually tapered in thickness from midship portion to ends. ‘Square gunwale shall be provided and weld the deck plate to side shell piate. Opening in the shell plating shall be well rounded and reinforced by insert thicker plate where necessary. Shell plate shall be increased in thickness in way of hawse pipe and the run of anchor where necessary. Shell structure in the forward part shall be reinforced against bow slamming and wave impact from green sea. Shell construction shall be reinforced and marked at five points each side for tug pushing portions as shown on General Arrangement. Bore Clos H2-4 26 CSEFS-920627 CONSTRUCTION OF CARGO HOLD Ship side shall be of double hull construction. Double hull structures except for pipe duct shall be stiffened by longitudinal supported by web frames fitted at moderate space. In way of the watertight transverse bulkheads in double hull space, longitudinals shall be carried through the bulkheads continuously with closing collar plates. Longitudinals in double bottom shall be supported by solid floors fitted at moderate space. Bottom ceiling and side sparring will not be provided in general. Soft toe brackets shall be considered to be applied to the fore and aff sides of inner bottom longitudinals in way of bulkhead lower stool except for inner bottom longitudinals in way of No.6 cargo hold BHD which shall be applied compulsorily. Care shall be taken for the design of supporting members of the duct keel in way of bulkhead lower stool. Plate thickness shall not less than the adjacent floor. Fatigue strength shall be designed on the basis of 25 years service life. The calculation sheet shall be submitted to Buyer for review. The unladen weight of the grab shall be at least 21 tons. The transverse bulkheads shall be of vertical corrugated type with upper and lower stool. Standard for treatments of staging pieces, lifting eye plates and other pieces shall be submitted to the Buyer for approval. All lifting eye pieces for construction purposes on outside of deck, shell, outside of accommodation and inner bottom and lower half of cargo holds must be cut, ground smooth, painted prior to delivery. $8400 60 4 mm half round bar shall be provided around the upper and lower portion of hatch opening. ENGINE ROOM, FORE AND AFT CONSTRUCTION Engine room Solid floors and girders shall be set under the main engine. Suitable reinforcements shall be provided under heavy concentrated loads. Suitable number of web frames, strong beams and pillars shall be provided against vibration. Fore and aft construction The forward exposed deck shall be stiffened against green sea. Forecastle shall be provided. The bow flare part shall be reinforced against panting as necessary. The bottom forward part shall be reinforced against slamming as required by the Rule. The stern construction shall be well stiffened against vibration. DECKS PLATING All decks shall be constructed of steel and shall be of all welded construction. The upper deck plate outside of hatch sideline shall be stiffened longitudinally and gradually tapered in thickness from midship portion to ends. Inside of hatch sideline, the upper deck shall be stiffened transversely. Deck openings for access to side tanks and the comers of cargo hatch openings shall be of elliptical form to reduce stress concentration. Slant plate shall be fitted above the hatch corner and welded to the hatch coaming only. Decks under machinery, bollards, boat davits and other heavy concentrated loads shall be reinforced by small pads, carlings or brackets where necessary. H2-6 CSEFS-920627 2.9 DECKHOUSE Extemal bulkheads and decks of superstructure and deck houses shall be constructed of steel. Deck house construction shall be generally framed transversely. Steel walls shall be suitably arranged to minimize vibration in deck houses as shown on the General Arrangement Plan and to be designed and constructed so as to minimize vibration in vertical, transverse and longitudinal direction. In addition, boundary walls of air conditioning unit room, battery room, galley, pantry, laundry, electric equipment room, common toilet, engine casing and other necessary store spaces shall be constructed of plane stee! walls stiffened by vertical fiat bar stiffeners. Doubling plates and carlings shall be fitted under life boat davit. Steel grating and hand rail shall be provided in front of navigation bridge deck for cleaning the outside windows and two (2) entrance door also shall be provided. Intermitted welding or one side continuous fillet welding shall be applied in deck houses except wet spaces in accordance with the Builder's standard practice approved by the Classification Society. cy Bridge wings shall be constructed with enclosed space, and flush type manhole of bridge wings shall be provided. Chain locker Two (2) chain lockers to be arranged in the void space above fore peak tank and to have ample capacity and height for the stowage of chain cables. ‘Access to chain locker to be provided through a watertight hinge open type manhole using a Jacob's ladder. Steps or step-holes not to be fitted inside the chain lockers. Bilge well of ample capacity to be provided under the bottom of each chain locker and covered with perforated steel plate. No wooden linings to be applied. ‘A manhole with watertight cover shall be fitted for access to bilge well of each chain locker from the void space above fore peak tank. Chain pipes to be led vertically from the windlass to chain locker and to be constructed of welded steel plate with bell mouth. Chafing ring of fabricated steel bar to be fitted at the lower edge for protection and smooth running of cables. Bitter end of chain cable to be secured to a quick releasing device fixed near to top of chain locker in an accessible position. Seat Machinery seats, plumber block seat and equipment seats shall be of steel construction with enough strength and rigidity. Bottom plug A stainless steel bottom plug with cement pavement of about 60 mm diameter with steel socket shall be fitted for drainage at suitable location in each bottom tank, except in bilge well and lubricating oil sump tank. The shape of plugs for oil tanks shall be different from that for water tanks. Tank name and boundary shall be marked by welding bead at the bottom plug and the main tank boundary respectively. Preeg- H2-8 CSEFS-920627 2.11 HAWSE PIPES The hawse pipes shall be made with shell and bolster flanges of cast steel and intervening separate pipes of welded steel! The hawse pipe assemblies shall be so located and fitted, by welding, at the bow that they will give a satisfactory flukes-and-ball three-point contact housing of anchors, and each chain cable lead to the wildcat and permit an easy dropping of the anchors clear of bulbous bow. The hawse pipes shall be supported substantially by deck, shell and web frames with suitable brackets, ribs, etc. of sufficient strength. Anchor recess shall not be provided. Each hawse pipe shall be designed that the anchor shall not strike the external shell at a trim of 2% LBP by the stern and a adverse heel of one (1) degree. Doubler and carling shall be provided at the location of rest of anchor claws. 2.12 BILGE KEELS Non-continuous bilge keels of 460mm depth to be fitted on both sides of the vessel for about 25% of the ship's length amidship. Bilge keels shall be built up of a flat plate web with double plated outside edge, welded to the shell plate on a doubling plate, and well tapered at ends. Design shall avoid stress concentration at the ends of the bilge keel connecting to the shell plating. 2.13 BULWARKS Steel bulwarks shall be arranged as shown on the General Arrangement Plan. Steel bulwarks with bulb plate on the top shall be fitted at the front, aft and side of navigation bridge wings, and hardwood shall be fitted on the top of { bulb plate. Bulwark top shall be fitted with steel top plate. Front bulwarks of the inboard parts (about 1.5m) of bridge wings shall be fitted with steel venturi type wind deflectors of 1,300mm height. Pos Clie H2-9 CSEFS-920627 2.14 LEAK TEST AND STRENGTH TEST Leak tests and structural strength tests shall be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Classification Society. The leak test of tanks in general shall be carried out by air pressure, and the structural strength test shall be carried out by filling with water afloat. The leak test of isolated areas, e.g. water tight doors etc., may be tested by hose test. Rudder shall be leak-tested with air after completion according to the requirements of the Classification Society. The testing schedule shall be prepared by the Builder in view of the building schedule and the testing schedule shall be submitted to the Owner's supervisor. Detecting solution for air test shall be washed down by fresh water, wipe with waste and solvent or power tool prior to painting. One (1) pump unit shall be capable of supplying full power to steer the rudder from 35° to 30° hard-over within 28 seconds under the conditions stipulated by relevant rules. Each pump unit to have 100% of required capacity. One of the pump units shall be power supplied by emergency generator for emergency steering, and capable of putting the rudder over from 15° on one side to 15° on the other side in not more than 60 seconds with the Vessel running ahead at one half of the maximum ahead service speed or 7 knots, whichever is the greater. Fluid flow to the steering gear shall be controlled by stroke of the pumps. For the reduction of starting electric current of electric motor, unloading hydraulic circuit acting at start of electric motor shall be provided. The tiller shall be of cast steel and solid, taper fit type. Mechanical stopper at 37° both sides shall be provided. Bey Cla H4-3 44 45 CSEFS-920627 WINDLASSES Windlasses as specified in Section 4.2 shall be provided as shown on the General Arrangement Plan. Gypsy wheel shall be operated through claw clutch and provided with manual friction brake. The windlass shall be provided with two(2) declutchable hawser drums and two (2) warping heads. Hawser drum shall be capable of stowing nylon rope of 75 mm diameter and 200 m length. No automatic tension device shall be provided. All bearings except those inside the casing shall be lubricated with grease. Tongue type cable controller shall be provided on each hawser pipe. Steel grating platforms for operation of the brake and clutch to be provided. Man guards to be provided. MOORING WINCHES 7 Mooring winches as specified in Section 4.2 shall be installed as shown on the General Arrangement Plan. Hawser drums shall be of non-intermediate flange type and declutchable from the shaft and designed to stow nylon rope of 75 mm diameter 200 meters long and provided with friction brake. No automatic tension device shall be provided. Warping head shall be mounted directly on the shaft of each winch. Boy Chee H4-4 CSEFS-920627 4.6 HYDRAULIC SYSTEM FOR MOORING WINCH The electro-hydraulic system of the mooring winch shall be of high pressure type with fore and aft group hydraulic power units. The power unit shall be composed of hydraulic oil pumps each driven by one (1) electric motor. One (1) main pressure line and one (1) main return line shall be provided and branch lines shall be led from the main lines to each mooring winch. The forward hydraulic power unit shall be designed to have a capacity to drive two (2) windlasses at rated capacity simultaneously. The aft hydraulic power unit shall be designed to have a capacity to drive three (3) mooring winches at rated capacity simultaneously. The forward hydraulic power unit shall be used also for the operation of the hatch covers. The aft power unit shall be located in the steering gear room and the fore O power unit shall be located in the bosun’s store, and shall be started and stopped at the unit side. One (1) oil cooler shall be provided for each group power unit. Cooling sea water for oil cooler of forward hydraulic power unit shall be supplied from the sea water service pump. Cooling water shall be supplied from fresh water line for oil cooler of aft hydraulic power unit. Other particulars, materials and construction shall be in accordance with the requirements of the Classification Society and the maker standard. 4.7 HEAVING LINE WINCH Four (4) sets electric motor driven, reversible capstan type heaving line winches of 250 kg x 60 m/min capacity with electro-magnetic brake shall be provided on upper deck. Accessories for anchor chain shall be supplied in accordance with the maker's standard. One swivel shall be provided at the end of the chain connecting to anchor on each side. Hawser gratings shall be provided in the bosun store and the steering gear room. Mooring to buoys using the chain cable shall not be considered. A galvanized steel cover in halves shall be supplied for the top of each chain pipe. HAWSE PIPES Each hawse pipe to be so designed that the anchor shall not strike against the external shell at a trim of 2% of the length between perpendiculars and an adverse heel of 1 degree and to allow satisfactory housing of the anchor and easy lead to the gypsy wheel. Chain washing water nozzles shall be fitted to each hawse pipe. The washing water shall be supplied from the fire and wash deck line. Anchor stoppers of flexible steel rope each with a turnbuckle to be provided. Fixed guard rails shall be provided around the deck flange and cover plates shall be provided on the hawse pipes on deck. Navigation lamp, ladder, air horn, etc. shall be provided completely. One (1) steel radar mast with "D" type shall be provided on the compass bridge deck at the center line of the vessel. Platform with rails, radar brackets, ladders, signal yards, antenna fittings, signal lamp arrangements, air horn, etc. shall be provided. Pad eyes, rigging stays and turn buckles shall be provided for anti-vibration purposes for radar mast. The vibration of fore mast will be checked during sea trial and rigging stay will a be provided if necessary. Two (2) deck houses, (which are located between No. 3 & 4 cargo hold, No.7 & 8 cargo hold), and the lights for upper deck illumination shall be provided. Blocks shall be of JIS standard. Standing rigging shall be of galvanized steel wire rope of 6 strands, 19 or 24 wires and running rigging shall be of galvanized steel wire rope of 6 strands, 24 wires. Running rigging for flag yards, etc. shall be of synthetic fiber rope. Cleats etc. shall be provided wherever necessary. One (1) ensign staff shall be provided at stem. CARGO HATCHS Cargo hatch of steel, two panels side rolling, hydraulic rack and pinion type having the following dimensions shall be arranged as shown on the General Arrangement plan. No.6 cargo hold to be used as heavy ballast tank. Hinge type handrail are to be provided at four (4) sides of each hatch cover panel top. At helicopter area of No.6 hatch cover, portable type handrail to be used. Covers to be lifted/lowered by hydraulic cylinders which are installed under each travelling wheel and to be opened/closed by rack and pinion which to be driven by hydraulic motors. Hydraulic cylinder for lifting up hatch cover shall be installed with cylinder on top and rod undemeath. With such installation, dirt on the rod will be push downward by oil seal, expansion type protection cover shall be provided outside the rod. Hydraulic cylinders for lifting/lowering of the covers and hydraulic motors for rack and pinion driven to be actuated with hydraulic oll being supplied by hydraulic pump unit. Hatch cover shall be able to operate under Vessel's condition of 3 degrees heel and 1.5 degrees trim. Control stand of each hatch cover to be provided on upper deck at convenient position. The sequential control to be applied to avoid miss operation Hydraulic operated cleating allows for one man operation of the hatch cover to be provided. Flex-pad or similar design shall be provided for hatch cover resting. Materials of compression bars fitted on coamings to be of stainless steel. Hydraulic power for operation of hatch cover shall be combined with forward group of hydraulic power unit for deck machinery. ‘A portable hydraulic pump unit is provided for emergency operation of the hatch cover. a Cae H7-1 Cy 7] 7.2 7.3 TA CSEFS-920627 Helicopter landing shall be marked welded 6 mm steel plate at comer and curve, stanchions, and fitting sockets to be provided on No.6 hatch. Hatch cover number to be marked on top and side of the panel by welded 6 mm steel plate. Each cargo hatch cover shall be set at such two(2) positions as normal opening and maximum opening condition for cleaning on the top of hatch coaming plate. Portable stopper for partial opening shall be provided and quantity shall be supplied with three (3) cargo holds use. Vertical ladder shall be provided at both sides of each cargo hatch. ACCESS HATCHES Weather tight access hatch of 600 mm x 600 mm clear shall be provided, one (1) each at forward and aft end of each cargo hold, on upper deck as shown on the General Arrangement plan. Hatch coaming shall be constructed of steel of a height required by Class Rules and fitted with a hinged steel weathertight cover completely with synthetic rubber gaskets, clips and stopper pins and identification mark. Hinge pins shail be of stainless steel with grease nipple. Hinge eyes shall be of steel and clips shall be galvanized steel. ROPE HATCHES Weathertight steel rope hatches of 1,200 mm x 1,200 mm (with 600 mm clear diameter hatch on top) on the forecastle deck and the aft upper deck shall be provided as shown on the General Arrangement Plan. The hatch cover shall be hinged type and provided with synthetic rubber gaskets, counter weight and clamps. The coaming height shall be in accordance with Class Rules. Hinge pins shall be of stainless steel with grease nipple. No vertical ladder shall be fitted for rope hatch. Hook shall be provided inside the rope hatch. OTHER HATCHES Following hatches shall be provided as shown on the General Arrangement Plan. One (1) hinged type weathertight steel hatch cover with counter weight of 4,200 mm x 1,200 mm for provisions handling. One (1) steel plate, bolted fixed type cover of 2,800 mm x 1,800 mm for engine parts handling, one (1) hinged type weathertight steel hatch cover with counterweight of 1,200 mm x 1,200 mm shall be fitted on steel plate of 2,800 mm x 1,800 mm for small engine part handling, by trolley hoist of ship or shore crane. Clear width of steel doors shall be generally 700 mm and clear height shall be 1,500 mm, 1,600 mm, 1,700 mm and 1,800 mm, corresponding to the sill height required by Class Rules. Sill height shall be minimum. Foot step shall be provided at sill of 450 mm height and above. Weathertight steel doors shall be provided at weather exposed entrances of the living quarters, deck stores and other compartments positioned on upper deck. Insulated, air-tight, steel hollowed flush doors shall be provided at the entrances to the engine room and air con. unit room from the engine room. Hinged expanded metal steel doors shall be provided for stores in engine room and deck stores. ’ Air tight (semi-weather tight) steel! door shall be provided at the exposed entrance of battery room and non-weather tight steel door for elevator trunk on navigation bridge deck Aluminum sheet paneled doors framed by stainless steel with a 250 mm diameter fixed scuttle shall be fitted to weather exposed entrances of accommodation on boat deck and above, and with fixed square window shall be provided on each side of the wheelhouse. Aluminum sheet paneled doors framed by stainless steel with a 250 mm diameter fixed scuttle shall be provided to the inside of weather exposed entrances of the living quarters on upper deck. Cabin doors shall be provided as specified in Section 15.2.2. Gaskets for weathertight and air tight (semi-weather tight) steel doors shall be of synthetic rubber.
