I agree with this statement. It is commonly known that people remember


only information they are interested in. And people lose interest in things
very easy. The moment your presentation stops being interesting is the
moment people stop paying attention to it. After leaving the auditorium,
your topic will no longer be on their minds. But your goal as the presenter
was to deliver your points, thoughts, etc. to them. Then what was the point
of giving your presentation if you could not deliver those to the audience?
Information you give and how you present it to people must be engaging
and fresh.

Often, asking questions is the fastest way to get an answer or discover


something. Despite this, many people find asking questions a frightful
experience, especially in communities such as schools, universities, or at
their workplaces. Most people avoid asking questions for various reasons,
such as the fear of appearing stupid or incompetent or not wanting to
occupy other people's time. But in reality, asking questions doesn’t mean
you’re weak or dumb; it is the opposite - it means you are wise.

Humans are selfish creatures. They are so occupied with themselves that
they forget to pay attention to the people around them. However, as soon as
the outside world starts affecting their well-being, they begin to pay
attention. So the only method to get that person's attention, and for a long
time at that, is to make them believe that your suggestion has so many
things to do with their self-interest.

4: “No audience ever complained about a presentation or a speech being too

The best demonstration of respect you can ever give your audience is to
end your speech on time. Even better, ending the speech early. There has
never been an audience member who said, "Wow, I wish that speaker went
over by twenty minutes." Time limits exist for a reason. Respect those
limits and show that you care about your audience. Better to leave them on
the edge of their seats than to see them checking their watches constantly.

6: “Your slides should be a billboard not a document!”  Lee Jackson


A billboard is a large outdoor advertising structure, typically found in
high-traffic areas, such as alongside busy roads. You are expected to
understand a billboard's message within three seconds while you are
passing by driving down the freeway. But if you have to slow down to try
to figure out what the point is, you may cause an accident. Similarly, with
the slides – the audience should understand the idea of the slide within 3
seconds. Only then it is an effective slide.
