Clause 70

70.1 Increase or Decrease of Cost

70.2 Subsequent Legislation

Should there be a rise or fall in the cost of labour and/or materials or any other matters
affecting the cost of the execution of the Works then this is to be taken into account as
an addition or deduction from the Contract Price in accordance with a clause set out in
Part II of the Conditions.

If after 28 days prior to the date set for the return of tenders for the Contract changes
in local laws or regulations in the country in which the Works are to be executed
result in additional or reduced costs these shall be determined and added to or
deducted from the Contract Price.

Clause 71

71.1 Currency Restrictions

This Clause is similar to Clause 70.2 and entitles the Contractor to be reimbursed by
the Employer for any loss or damage arising from currency restrictions imposed by
the Government of the country in which the Works are being executed and which
have taken place after the date 28 days prior to the latest date for the submission of
the tender for the Works.
