    Assignment

    Johan, a 17-year-old Malaysian, came to study law at the Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws.
    He obtained a loan of RM5,000 from his neighbour. He spent RM2,000 on registration and
    the rest to buy books, a watch, an iPad and sports equipment. A few months later, Johan
    promised his classmate Anna whom he had met at the university, to marry her, but he later
    changed his mind.

    While studying in the Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, Johan worked part-time at Mahallah
    Omar Canteen. The contract of employment is for one year. Upon discovering that Johan was
    a minor, the employer decided to terminate his employment.

    When Johan failed to repay the loan, his neighbour threatened to take legal action against
    him. Anna also wanted to sue him for breach of promise to marry. At the same time, Johan
    felt that his termination was wrong.

    Advise Johan. Support your answer with cases and statutory provisions.
