 Survey for collection of YLD disease affected arecanut in Dakshina kannada district and
surrounding places
 Attempts made for DNA isolation from collected YLD infected samples
 Attempts made for PCR and nested PCR through phytoplasma universal primers i.e.,
P1/P7, P3/P7, P4/P7, SecA gene primers.
 Isolation of microorganisms from YLD infected and healthy roots and soil.
