The enrolled nurse - The student being assessed (who will assist a patient named Mr. Garcia's with his first telehealth appointment with a pain management specialist) 2. Mr. Antonio Garcia - a student (nominated by the trainer and assessor) 3. Pain Specialist for Mr. Antonio Garcia - the trainer and assessor. Scenario: Mr. Antonio Garcia is an 82-year-old male who has suffered from chronic lower back pai for the last five years. Most recently, he was provided with options of how to manage the pain by an orthopaedic specialist doctor. Option one (1) was using the pain management specialist service and the option two (2) was to have a surgery. Mr. Garcia had decided the option one (1) was more suitable for him thinking that he does not want to risk the postoperative complications because of his age and also a fear of ‘unknown’ of never having an operation in his life. The orthopaedic specialist made a referral to the pain management specialist service to manage his case further. Today, Mr. Garcia's first appointment has come.
