About This Manual
Purpose
This manual describes the hardware composition of the ZXRAN V9200, including the chassis,
boards, and cables.

Chapter 1
Chassis
The ZXRAN V9200 is a baseband unit, see Figure 1-1.
The BBU consists of the VPD, VF, VEM, VBP, VSW, and VGC boards. For a description of the
boards, refer to Table 2-1.
Functions
For a description of the boards applicable to the ZXRAN V9200, refer to Table 3-1.

Indoor scenario VC9182, VC9183, VC9810, VC9811, VC9812, gantry, and L-shaped rack
VC9182 Cabinet
The VC9182 cabinet is 4 U high. Its external dimensions are 600 mm × 220 mm × 500 mm
(height × width × depth), see Figure 3-1.
VC9183 Cabinet
The external dimensions of the VC9183 cabinet are 708 mm×448 mm×380 mm (height ×
width × depth). The VC9183 cabinet is installed in an indoor standard 19-inch cabinet. A
maximum of five ZXRAN V9200 devices can be placed in the VC9183 cabinet, and the in-
stallation space height of the VC9183 cabinet is required to be 16 U, see Figure 3-2.
VC9810 Cabinet
The VC9810 cabinet is 47 U high. The external dimensions of the VC9810 cabinet are 2200
mm × 600 mm × 600 mm (height × width × depth), see Figure 3-3.
VC9811 Cabinet
The VC9811 cabinet is 20 U high. The external dimensions of the VC9811 cabinet are 950
mm × 600 mm × 600 mm (height × width × depth), see Figure 3-4.
VC9812 Cabinet
The VC9812 cabinet is 32 U high. The external dimensions of the VC9812 cabinet are 1600
mm × 600 mm × 600 mm (height × width × depth), see Figure 3-5.
Gantry
The external dimensions of the gantry are 1600 mm × 550 mm × 500 mm (height × width ×
depth), see Figure 3-6.
L-Shaped Rack
The dimensions of the empty L-shaped rack are 2200 mm × 550 mm × 500 mm (height ×
width × depth) and the dimensions of the L-shaped rack with equipment mounted are 2200
mm × 600 mm × 600 mm (height × width × depth).
The ZXRAN V9200 is installed on the L-shaped rack with a 14U shelf, see Figure 3-7. The
dimensions of the 14U shelf are 657 mm × 526 mm × 173 mm (height × width × depth).
VC9910A+PC9910A Cabinet
The outdoor cabinet consists of the baseband cabinet VC9910A and the battery cabinet
PC9910A. The VC9910A and PC9910A cabinets are 13 U high.
The external dimensions of the VC9910A cabinet are 800 mm × 600 mm × 600 mm (height
× width × depth).
The external dimensions of the PC9910A cabinet are 800 mm × 600 mm × 600 mm (height
× width × depth), see Figure 3-8.
VC9910A+PC9910A-Li Cabinet
The outdoor cabinet consists of the baseband cabinet VC9910A and the battery cabinet
PC9910A-Li. The VC9910A cabinet is 13U high. The PC9910A-Li cabinet is 13 U high.
The external dimensions of the VC9910A cabinet are 800 mm × 600 mm × 600 mm (height
× width × depth).
The external dimensions of the PC9910A-Li cabinet are 800 mm × 600 mm × 600 mm
(height × width × depth), see Figure 3-9.
BS8906B cabinet
The BS8906B cabinet is 4 U high. The dimensions of the BS8906B cabinet is 750 mm × 350
mm × 500 mm (height × width × depth), see Figure 3-10.
The VBPc1, VBPc5, VBPd1, VBPd2, VBPd2p, VBPe1p, and VBPe3p boards are allocated
to the slots in the following sequence: slot 8, slot 7, slot 6, slot 4, and slot 3.
The VBPc0, VBPc3, VBPc7, VBPd0, VBPd0p, VBPe0q, VBPe2q, VBPe0s, and VBPe2s
boards are allocated to the slots in the following sequence: slot 3, slot 4, slot 6, slot 7, and
slot 8.
Function
The VSWc0 board is a switching board supporting 2G/3G/4G multi-mode, which implements
baseband unit control and management, Ethernet switching, transmission interface processing,
system clock restoration and distribution, and processing of air interface upper-layer protocols.
The main functions of the VSWc0 board are:
Controls and manages the BS and communicates with the network management system.
Provides signaling processing.
Supports Ethernet switching function.
Provides interfaces for connecting with the transmission network.

ETH1 – ETH2 1 GE/10 GE optical interface for connecting to the transmission network.
DBG/LMT 10 Mbps/100 Mbps/1000 Mbps adaptive electrical interface for local mainte-
nance and debugging.
USB USB type C interface for software upgrade and base station commissioning.

Function
The VSWc2 is a switching board supporting 2G/3G/4G/5G multi-mode, used to control and
manage the baseband unit as well as to provide transmission interfaces and system clock. The
main functions of VSWc2 are:
Controls and manages the BS and communicates with the network management system.
Provides signaling processing.
Supports Ethernet switching function.
Provides interfaces for connecting with the transmission network.
Supports synchronization to various clock sources.
Provides a USB interface for software upgrading and base station commissioning.
