SOP for Tes+ng:

1. Hypotheses that we want to test:


• What do we want to learn?
• What do we want to test?
• With whom do we want to conduct the test, and where?
2. Define Ques5on Map
• Write down list of ques6on to ask for the tester
• Ask simple and open ques6ons in tes6ng; never sugges6ve ques6ons. Always ask
“why” in order to find out the underlying mo6va6on.
3. Capture Feedback Grid ( Like, Wishes, Ques5ons, Ideas)

Remote Tes+ng SOP:


1. Recrui5ng par5cipants
Let par6cipants know about:
• Time
• Equipment
• Apps installed/Files needed
• How to join
2. Bring in par5cipants and observers
• Use online video call tools like Zoom or Google Meet
• Use Maze.co for tes6ng tools
3.Introduce the session (Moderator)
• Welcome and thanks
• Introduce yourself, observer
• Introduce your project (don’t give too much detail just yet)
• Ask a few interview ques6on (their name, work, experiences related to your project)
• Ask par6cipants to show their screen
• Ask them “any ques6on or not” before start
4. Start the test (Moderator)
• Reassure user that we are tes6ng the prototype, not the user and we need their
feedback
• Read the scenario & instruc6on
• Ask ques6ons in semi-structured manner as you go along with the test
• Ask them to think aloud.
5. Write down observa5ons (observer)
• Write down the important and interes6ng feedback from user
6. Close the test (Moderator)
• Final ques6ons
• Give the post test
• Thank par6cipants
7. Discuss and Reflect (Moderator & Observer)
• Go through notes
• Fill in the gaps in notes
• What went well? What can be improved?
