Virtual Tour Emotions

1. In our virtual tour, what feelings, emotions evoke during the entire activity? And Why?
On this first part of the video tour it is the opening prayer that composed by Clay Aiken
With the title of “Mary did you know”. Base on the song it made me feel who Mary's son was
during their period. In this song it let us realize what his son can do on the people surrounded
on Mary. Mary’s son represent the face of god whose creator our world. Different religion,
different faiths but still giving respect to Mary’s son and praising him. On the second part of the
video tour in Jerusalem, the Jerusalem Academy of music and dance decided to celebrate the
Israel’s 70th anniversary and give a very warm welcome to the 2000 young Jews from around the
world that arrived at Ben Gurion International Airport. There is lot people in the airport, they
were curious that time they didn’t know what is happening right there. As the young Jews
arriving they have started singing and start playing the instruments. As I continue watching the
video even though I don’t understand what are they saying. It gives me a giddy with joy because
of the beat they were playing like a go with flow. Until the other Jews came they are really enjoy
and give them also groove to dance. They were having a flash mob to celebrate the 70 th
anniversary at the airport. All of them been enjoying the sing and dance of the Jerusalem
Academy .In the third video tour it tells about the Jerusalem 4000 years ago. On this video it is
mention that Jerusalem a historical journey through archeology and art. It is composed of
different people, different faiths and different nationalities. It gives me more knowledge
regarding what happen in Jerusalem during the years. It tells us the historical happening in
Jerusalem. It visualize the sayings in the old and new testament. On the fourth video it is a short
video interviewing people regarding the Jerusalem. I would like to say in this video only is
Jerusalem is a magical city as I have watch the video. In the fifth video it will shows us the
Jerusalem Old City. I feel like am with the tour guide because the way how he talks about and
show it to us. I’m imagining it that I’m with him touring at Jerusalem. When you’re with him I
feel like you will learn a lot regarding the holy places in Jerusalem. But suddenly it was during
the pandemic of the video tour so lots of shops are close. The people who were outside is Limited
only. On that he also mention who live in Jerusalem like the Muslim quarter which is equivalent
to the largest people live here is around 25000 people. The second is the Jewish Quarter the
people live there around 6000 people and lastly the Armenian Quarter they have a small
communities. In the sixth video it is showing an interpretative dance regarding the life of Jesus
for me and having a unity with each other. On the seventh video it is a tour from the inside of the
Church of the Holy Sepulchre and he discuss the 5 insane facts regarding
2. List down your learnings and realizations as you participate in the virtual tour. Did it
help you value and appreciate your faith? Which specific part struck you most?
The specific part I struck most is in the Jerusalem Old City Tour during corona. Yes it
really help me to appreciate my faith and the values that being discussed at the virtual tour. The
first learning during the tour is that Saint Helena was the one found the cross where Jesus is
crucified in 325. The second learning during the virtual tour is the meaning of “ HaGay “in
Hebrew or in Arabic “Al-Wad” it means a ravine or valley as you can see in the tour there that
have different store already establish. Each store displays different products but during the early
period it is valley it means a low area of land between hills or mountains, typically with a river
or stream flowing through it.as the tour guide said that this Jerusalem are connecting with two
valleys forming a V shape. The dome of the rock was built during the 7th century is one of the
oldest Islamic Buildings which is still standing today. There words that is new to me like this one
“Al-Aqsa” it is an Arabic word which means Farthest and it is the name of the mosque. The
synagogue is like a church to Christians but this is the worship for Jewish people. It is new
knowledge for me that the Armenians were the first nation to convert to Christianity and started
to come to Jerusalem from the 4th century on. It was the Armenian families who brought the art
and renovated the dome of the rock. My realization in this virtual tour even though the buildings
were ancient you can still see the beauty of every places and virtues in the Jerusalem. Even
though it was built a thousand years ago it is still standing and can be visited. As time passes by
they’ll just do some renovation when it needed. In this virtual tour in the Jerusalem, for me it is
better when the tour is not happen during the corona times so that you will be able to enter the
church and will be given a blessings from the priest. I’m imagining it if I am with tour guide I
will learn more a lot, because you will be have an interactive. For sure this video also brought
us together with faith and love. I also realize that Jerusalem is visited by a lot of people just to
show how strong their faith. I really appreciate how the site virtually tour us in the Holy City of
Jerusalem even though it’s just a video and words.
