Article Review Guide lines

Points that must be considered when review articles.

1. Choose (Identify) title (topic) from the given chapter. It should be clear
for readers of the review. Collect (refer) articles (at least 5 (five) articles)
on the title to be reviewed.

2. Write the introduction. Show clearly what the existing general theory says
about the topic and what you are going to do in the review. It reflects the
main focus of your review. It will also mention the central idea (concept or
theory) of the articles and the theory. This may be important to conclude
your review lastly. The introduction part of the article review must have
rational why you need to review articles on the selected title.

3. Write Discussion. Express the main points, arguments, and findings of the

articles and try to relate with the theory stated in your introduction part.
Show clearly the article reviewed in the discussion part (correctly cite the
author/s and year of publication). As much as possible write the discussion
in a chronological order (when you review, start from the most recent
article).

4. Write conclusion:  Summarize the main points of the articles, as well as

your opinions about its relation with the theory. Show clearly how the
empirical studies support or not the arguments of the topic. Decide whether
the theory is in line with the empirical studies results or not, and then give
reasonable argument as to why or why not. Finally, state what you have
learned from the review.

5. Write reference: write the reference of your review using APA style of
reference writing.
