The Bermuda triangle is
1872 which was the day when the empty
fact, not fiction
Bermuda Triangle. This is a name we’ve all
heard. But does it really exist Or is it just a
piece of imagination? Wel1, Good morning
dear teacher & fellow students. Today I am
going to convince you that Bermuda
Triangle really exists & is not just fiction.
But to get t0 the facts, let me first tell what
all the hype around ‘THE’ Bermuda
Triangle is.
The Bermuda Triangle is a region in the
western part of the North Atlantic
Ocean in which ships, planes, and people
are alleged to have mysteriously vanished.
This is a reason why it is also called the
Devil’s Triangle. It is a sinister Polygon
known for mysteriously swallowing around
2000 ships & 200 aircrafts over the past
centuries.
The stories around the Bermuda triangle
begin in Christopher Columbus’s time when
he reportedly saw a flame of fire crashing
into the sea in the triangle during his first
voyage to the New World.
However, the mysterious behaviour of the
region came to the public attention only in
the 20th century when the Navy cargo ship,
USS Cyclops, with more than 300 people
on board, went missing in the Bermuda
triangle. The latest incident in the region is
the disappearance of a small twin-engine
plane in May last year. With four people on
board, the plane suddenly disappeared
from the radar when it was flying from
Puerto Rico to Florida, and the debris from
the missing plane was found later
One of the most famous stories is that of
the ship named ‘Mary Celeste’ which,
though indirectly, is connected to the
Bermuda Triangle. It narrates the
unexplainable disappearance of all the
people on board the ship which included 7
crew members, captain Benjamin briggs &
his wife along with their 2-year-old
daughter. There has been no trace of the
passengers since the 4 th of December
vessel was found stranded on the sea
days after starting its journey from New
York to Genoa, Italy.
surprisingly there have not only been
casualties but also survivors off the evil
triangle. These include Bruce Gernon’s
story in which he claims to have passed
through an electronic fog or cloud of sorts
on top of the triangle. He said that he had
covered a 90-minute-distance in only 47
minutes. According to him, this fog
contained many bright flashes and almost
complete darkness. He also stated that at
some point within the cloud his compass
and other navigation devices suddenly
malfunctioned. As soon as he came out of
this fog of death, he discovered he was
flying on top of Miami whereas he had
started from Andros Island in the Bahamas.
He has authored several books one of
which is the book titled ‘BEYOND THE
BERMUDA TRIANGLE: TRUE
ENCOUNTERS WITH ELECTRONIC FOG,
MISSING AIRCRAFT, AND TIME’ in which
he has described the whole incident along
with the theories he came up with after
talking to many scientists and experts.
If these incidents coming straight from the
memory of a survivor of the devil’s doesn’t
convince you that the Bermuda triangle is a
fact and reality and not fiction, I’m not sure
what will.
