ABRSM Theory, Grade 1, Lesson 2


Part 1: Each group of notes given will spell out a word when you write each note's letter name!
Notes will appear in either bass clef or treble clef, so make sure you know what clef you're using.
Each "word" is separated by a double bar. The first note name is filled in for you.
 

Part 2: Here, you'll have some space to practice drawing notes and clefs! You can use the treble and bass
clefs on the left side as guides.
Draw a treble clef in each of these 5 bars Now draw a bass clef in each of these 5 bars
(on the top staff) (on the bottom staff)


Write in a whole note corresponding to the letter name I've given in each bar. You can choose bass or
39 treble clef (or, if there are two of that note name within the staff, you can choose which one to write).
