My Brothers, Technology and Me People often say that technology takes up too much of our time. As a result, we so interact with others, especially our family members. This is not true for me. Let me tell you why, Tam the youngest in the family. With my twin brothers away at college, I could have ended up feeling very lonely at home. Thanks to technology, I am able to see and talk to them using video calls almost every day. Sometimes, I even get to chat with their classmates and roommates, if they happen to be around. It feels like I am gaining many new friends as my brothers make more friends in college. My brothers and I also follow each other on social media like Facebook and Instagram. I can see how their college and hostel look like. Similarly, they can see what we have been doing at home or the places and events we go to such as football matches and birthday parties. I find that I lear so much more about my brothers compared to when they were at home. While one of ‘them is really good at taking photography, the other simply loves to be photographed. With technology, I communicate more with my brothers. They create a group chat just for the three of us. I write to them and they will answer whenever they are available. I have been sharing with them problems I face in my study and with friends, Through this group chat, we are able to console, encourage and share jokes privately among ourselves. Besides, my brothers insist that I must always write good English or they will not reply my messages. I have been writing so much that I'am becoming quite good at it. Even my teachers noticed that my writing has improved. In conclusion, I do not think that technology is a bad thing. For my brothers and I, technology has brought us closer.
