NET Developer

Required skills:

• Strong C#, .NET Framework 4.5+, Linq, Entity Framework, SQL

• Proven knowledge and experience with SQL Server, ASP.NET Web Forms,
Windows services
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to pick up on conventions/patterns and then follow/continue to apply
within a code base

Desirable skills:

• Solid web knowledge/understand

• Experience with design and development of webservices
• Experience with source control (preferably Azure DevOps Server using both
TFVC and GIT)

Advantageous skills:

• Knowledge of mobile app development (using Xamarin)

• Knowledge of CI/CD using Azure DevOps Server
• .NET 6
• Blazor (Server based)
• Razor Pages

The role involves building bespoke web/software solutions and working on existing
client platforms/sites that we have developed for them, further developing them to
their requirements and needs then fully testing before being released. This will also
ultimately lead to you playing a key role in migration of projects to .NET 6 over time.
We have a variety of projects for many clients and at times this may mean jumping
onto a code base that you’ve never worked on before, quickly getting up to speed on
its workings and being able to change/modify as required or resolve an identified
bug.
Ideally you will be a developer who is familiar with the lifecycle of web/software
projects from planning through to development, testing and release.
We are an incredibly busy team so it will be important that you are able to manage
your time and have a can-do attitude whilst being able to juggle multiple projects.
You will need to be commercial aware and be open to and understand the balancing
of cost vs benefit.
