Abstract
According to the APEC Ministers' Conference in the year 2000, IDB of MOEA has started
The Cooperation and Promotion Project for Information Professional Skill Certification. The
purpose of the project is to establish a comprehensive evaluation system for the certification of
information professional personnel. In addition, it is hoped that the internationalization of
Taiwan's information talents can be enhanced through international exchange and cooperation
and the cross-recognition of professional certifications.
The Institute for Information Industry is in charge of proposing the Information Software
Employees Skills Framework and regulations, from basic classification of the information
software workers according to each groups major responsibilities, technical standards,
knowledge systems, and various training courses and the 10 professional certification subjects.
The Computer Skills Foundation (CFF) has been in charge of question-drafting and
examination affairs. In the meantime, CFF is to implement digital question-making and
examination operations. From 2003 to 2007, there have been 10 certification categories with
more than 30,000 people attending.
Current results of the promotion may be used for reference in the promotion policy of the
information software industry. This in the meantime provides local training and content
production companies a good reference for business. Also, this can be used as a guide for
information workers to increase their professional skills.
