74 Aeta kids receive gifts from CDC, OB Montessori

CLARK FREEPORT— A total of 74 Aeta kids from the OB Pagsasarili Family Care
Centers located in Pampanga and Tarlac received gifts from Clark Development
Corporation (CDC) and OB Montessori as part of their year-end activity in this Freeport.
With the theme “Paskung Katutubu Proyektong Tagumpe Tutu,” the activity aims to
provide a simple celebration for the Aeta children from Marcos Village in Mabalacat
City, Pampanga and San Vicente in Bamban, Tarlac just in time for Christmas.
During the program, the kids performed Christmas Carols and enjoyed parlor games
and holiday treats.
Converge ICT Solutions, Inc. Chairman Jose P. De Jesus attended the said activity and
thanked the kids for the Christmas cheers.
Also present during the activity are CDC Corporate Social Responsibility and Placement
Division (CSRPD) Assistant Manager Ronald and CDC Assistant Vice President for
External Affairs Rommel C. Narciso.
Antonio expressed their gratitude to De Jesus for his continuous support on the
program. He also cited the efforts and dedication of the Aeta teachers for the
Pagsasarili program.
“Sila po ang dahilan kung bakit nandito po tayo at kung bakit may programa tayong
Pagsasarili Family Care Center. Sabi nga nila ang pag-aaral ang isa sa pinaka-
importante sa buhay natin ngayon. On behalf of CDC and our colleagues, we would
also like to thank our teachers,” he said.
Meanwhile, children from San Vicente Bamban, Tarlac enrolled under the Pagsasarili
program also enjoyed the same activity in the afternoon. Their activity likewise included
games, prizes, and Christmas treats that were also adored by their guardians and
parents of the Aeta students.
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility program, The Pagsasarili Family Care
Program aims to provide early education, responsible parenting, livelihood skills
training, feeding programs, and health services to uplift the lives of Aeta families in
adjacent communities of the Freeport.
