Instructions for Setup, Sampling, and Storage On DAI-208 Data Collector & ADRE Software 1, Connect Power Cabling for both Compaq Laptop and DAI-208 Data collector. 2. Connect Communication cable from laptop parallel port to back of DAI-208. 3. Connect signal cabling to back of DAI-208, using the numbering convention as labeled on the cables and back of the data collector (Chamnels 1-8). Make sure Doth probes on same bearing are odd-even channel pair (i.e., 1&2, 384, etc.), 4. Tum on DAI-208 (Green light iluminates). 5. Start up laptop, and run “ADRE for Windows” Program (from desktop, or “Start, Programs” menu). 6. In ADRE, go to “Configure”, and go through each of the following configuration screens: © “Plant/Job” — give job ID unique reference o “Channels” — assure direction, keyphasor designations correct o “Transducers” ~ typicaliy 200 mV/mil, Pk-Pk ©. Trigger Event” ~ typically speed, greater than 100 RPM. o Sample Mode” ~ both Delta RPM & Delta time 7. Go to “Plots”, and “Real Time”, to set up which plots you want to view during data-taking (make sure at least “current values” is selected). . Use “File”, “Save” to save empty setup file. 9. Make sure DAT-208 is | powered on, all cables IL connected, then go to “Store "s- Enable”. If trigger parameters are met, sampling should start (designated by green trigger light on sample number area). [i2_} 10. When done sampling, close |————___. “Store Enable” screen, and immediately “File”, “Save” the file to a unique name, and add comments to denote run particulars. 11. Exit program, go to “My Computer”, “C Drive”, “ADREWIN” Folder, “Database” subfolder, and save your named file folder to ZIP file, and email as an attachment. mae cy
