DESCRIPTION
Customized Integration with onsite Startup (Package 3) is designed to provide factory configuration and racking with onsite setup and turn-on for the customer
who wants Hewlett-Packard Enterprise to perform the customization and deployment activities required to bring the solution up to an application-ready state.
KEY FEATURES
 Custom slotting of relevant system components (e.g. I/O cards, disks, etc.)
 Loading of selected operating system version and subsystem elements that are supported by HPE, but not available as “Factory Pre-Installed”.
 Loading of custom image if HPE automated image load process is enabled (see the “special considerations” section)
 Setup of the LVM and kernel parameters, swap space, and memory; BIOS setting/hostname & IP address; time zone; etc.
 Customized internal server storage RAID settings (above and beyond standard RAID setting part number offering)
 Solution configuration test
 Customer defined firmware revisioning (not available in EMEA)
 Data Capture and Reporting
 Custom placement within the rack of HPE rackable products to the customer’s specifications
 Cabling and interconnect of all hardware components within the rack (customer-specified or HP best practices)
 Cable labeling (HPE best practices)
 Standard external RAID setting (e.g. 0, 1, 5) for JBOD disk enclosures (i.e. disk enclosures where the RAID controller is in the server)
 External Disk OS load (disk enclosure must be in the same rack as the server)
 Service Planning
 Server hardware configuration and integration
 Server operating system environment installation and configuration
 HPE BladeSystem hardware configuration and integration
 HPE BladeSystem operating system install
 HPE Disk array racking and integration
 HPE tape library and autoloader racking and integration
 Network switch racking and integration
 Verification testing
 Onsite final install and startup
