ISLAMIYAT ASSIGNMENT:

 LEARNING OUTCOMES:
 Islam seeks to establish an equilibrium between these two aspects of life –the material
and spiritual. It says that everything in the world is for man, but man was created to
serve a higher purpose; the establishment of a moral and just order that will fulfill the
will of ALLAH(SWT).

 Islam tell us to spend life on these three aspects:

 Purpose(Maqsad)
 Needs
 Wants

 What is our purpose according to islam?

 We are muslims and our purpose is seek the pleasure of ALLAH(SWT)
 What are our needs?
 Basic needs of every human/muslim is (Roti,Kapra aur makan) these things are necessary
for survival for every human.
 What are Wants?
 Wants are desire which are unlimited and never ending desire of human ex: if he /she has
two cars then he have desire to have third one so these wants are neverending things.

 In this we learn that our purpose should be (to seek the the pleasure of Allah). Our first
priority is our purpose then needs and then wants. Islam or our deen is not preventing us
to fulfill our wants as long as it goes opposite to our purpose and our purpose is defined
to (Seek the pleasure of Allah).
 If our focus is on our purpose then sacrifice is very easy for us. (example: if there is our
exam and we have to prepare for it is very easy for us to sacrifice our sleep)
 If we focus on want then we wil compromise our purpose/needs.
 Example: Eat /Drink (Need + Wants)

 Islam has tell us what is haram and what is halal (Drinking water is halal and drinking
alcohol is haram. Eating everything s halal except Pig) . Allah (SWT) tell the prophet (SAW)
through wah and Prophet describe it to Sahaba and it goes on to other generations and
that’s the pivotal point.
 Islam has define us the path which is deen and our prophet has describe us what the deen
is if we remain on that path so we will be rewarded Jannah. On the otherside there is the
part of shaitan and that are the wants of duniya if remain on the path of shaitan so our real
purpose will be sacrified.
 An other thing we learned that we are muslim by birth we only know that we are born in
muslim society so we don’t focus on what the islam has ask us. Those who are musim by
choice they know the difference between deen and duniya.
 But between deen(the path prophet) and duniya(the path of shaitaan) there is grey area
,Prophet has clear that what is halal and what is haram. If you want be the part of duniya
so you would not be the part of deen.if you are lying in grey are so you are bound to fall in
haram.
 Prophet has tell us the part is (sirat e mustakeem) if we follow that part so we will be
rewarded Jannah if we distract from that path so we will be thrown into hell.
 Islam has tell us that the if your mindset is clear the you will remain on the path of deen if
your mindset is not clear then you will lead to the path of shaitaan.
 If a person lies in grey area, if his mindset is clear if he is distracting from deen so he will
come back otherwise he will stay in duniya

 HADITH GIBRAEL :

 HADITH:
 Qaul-e-Rasool (Sayings of Prophet)
 Faile-e-Rasool(Actions of Prophet)
 Approvals(Those actions on which prophet never denies and not ask to do it remain quiet
so they lies in approvals)
 Text of Hadith (MATAN)
 Chain of Narration (SANAD)
 Chain of Narration starts from (Prophet,Sahabi,Tabain,Taba-Tabain and soon we are
approximately 40th Generation.
 Hadith e Gibrael is late madni period and its narrator is Hazrat Umar.
 Those surahs or Ayats reveals before the migration of madina are makki and that surahs
and ayats reveals after the migration to madina are madni.
Text of Hadith Gibrael: Narrated Abu Huraira: One day while the Prophet (‫ )ﷺ‬was sitting in the
company of some people, (The angel) Gabriel came and asked, "What is faith?" Allah's
Messenger (‫ )ﷺ‬replied, 'Faith is to believe in Allah, His angels, (the) meeting with Him, His
Apostles, and to believe in Resurrection." Then he further asked, "What is Islam?" Allah's
Messenger (‫ )ﷺ‬replied, "To worship Allah Alone and none else, to offer prayers perfectly to pay
the compulsory charity (Zakat) and to observe fasts during the month of Ramadan." Then he
further asked, "What is Ihsan (perfection)?" Allah's Messenger (‫ )ﷺ‬replied, "To worship Allah as
if you see Him, and if you cannot achieve this state of devotion then you must consider that He
is looking at you." Then he further asked, "When will the Hour be established?" Allah's
Messenger (‫ )ﷺ‬replied, "The answerer has no better knowledge than the questioner. But I will
inform you about its portents.

1. When a slave (lady) gives birth to her master.

2. When the shepherds of black camels start boasting and competing with others in the
construction of higher buildings.
And the Hour is one of five things which nobody knows except Allah. The Prophet (‫ )ﷺ‬then
recited: "Knowledge of the Hour [of Resurrection] belongs to God; it is He who sends down the
relieving rain and He who knows what is hidden in the womb. No soul knows what it will reap
tomorrow, and no soul knows in what land it will die; it is God who is all knowing and all
aware." (Surah Luqman 31:34) Then that man (Gabriel) left and the Prophet (‫ )ﷺ‬asked his
companions to call him back, but they could not see him. Then the Prophet (‫ )ﷺ‬said, "That was
Gabriel who came to teach the people their religion." Abu 'Abdullah said: He (the Prophet)
considered all that as a part of faith.
 Questions asked in Hadith gibrael:
 What is Iman?
 Prophet replies: Believe in Allah,Angels,Books,Day of Judgement, Qadar it means all the
articles of faith.
 What is Islam?
 Prophet replies: Shahadah (believe in Allah) , Pray five times, Fast is Ramadan, Pay Zakat,
Perform Pilgrimage it means five pillars of Islam.
 What is Ihsan?
 Prophet replies: To worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you cannot achieve this state of
devotion then you must consider that He is looking at you.
 Signs of Hour (Day of judgement):
 Prophet Replies: The answerer has no better knowledge than the questioner.
 What are the signs of hour(Qayamat ki nishaniyan)?
 Slave girl is going to give birth to his mistress
 Poor barefooted arabs will compete against each other in construction off tall buildings.
 After asking these questions angel gibrael left the meeting of prophet after that prophet
ask the sahaba who were sitting there that you know who was he?
Hazrat Umar Replies: Allah and his prophet knows well.
Then Prophet Replies: He was angel gibrael he came to teach you the deen.
 Hadith Gibrael is also referred as Umul hadith (Mother of All Hadith) because it teaches
our deen very well
 Then hazrat Umar is describing Angel Gibrael because he was shocked when he saw that
stranger man he was not seen before in madina and he has no any signs of travel hazat
umar is describing that stranger man like this( He has the whitish of clothes and he has
the blackist of beards)
 Then question arises why angel gibrael came in human form?
 We seen this now in real we need proof to accept any thing so Allah decide to teach us
the deen in effective way and to pay the focus/attention on it that what our deen is
teaching us.
 Once the question was asked from prophet that what are the signs of Day of
judgement?
 Prophet replies : Signs doesn’t matter what the matter is that you are prepared for the
day of judgement or not. So look after for preparation signs are irrelevant you will be
accountables for your deeds what you have done in this world. It is clear that our
judgement and accountability for our deeds will start when we will die so what we will
do with signs of the day of judgment we have to prepare for it.

 SIGNS EXPLANATION:
 We muslim knows that our lineage starts From Hazrat Adam(He was the first man in
this world) and its now (2022) and still continue it will end up one the day of
judgement.
 West denies from this philosophy they say that we human evolve from monkey and we
done progress they consider materialistic progress is main progress like
(Science,technology,medicine,economy,infrastructure)
 Islam doesn’t denies from materialistic progress but this is not purpose of our life our
purpose to only seek the pleasure of (ALLAH)
 We learn that the best period of history was the period of Prophet(PBUH) and from
Hazrat Adam to Prophet (PBUH) is progress and after that it is decline
 Islam looks at connection with the divine spirituality (Best period off all the time is
Prophets Period after the prophets demise this divine spirituality is end up and after
that it goes decline and end up on the Day judgement)
 Purpose of Our life is to seek the pleasure of Allah. How to seek pleasure Allah created
vertical connection with Prophet through (Wahi). Connection between Prophet and
ummat is horizontal and Prophet is delivering message of Allah through this connection
 Slave girl will give birth to its mistress(means the people will start disobey to their
elders)
 Poor arabs will compete in buildings (Clock Tower)

 IMAN: Belief in objects of faith. Shahadah, profession of faith, is the first pillar of Islam.
Muslims bear witness to the oneness of God by reciting the creed "There is no God but
God and Muhammad is the Messenger of God. We are witness of it and it is the part of
Iman is Gaib(unseen) faith on Allah and Prophet.
 Iman has three stages:
 Ilm ul Yaqeen(Knowledge about Anything)
 Ain Ul Yaqeen(Seen-Imperical Evidence about anything)
 Haq-ul-Yaqeen(Experience )

 In the concept Iman /Deen ilm-ul-yaqeen is wahi Prophet gave us this ilm ul yaqeen
that (Allah exist,Jannat,Day of judgement etc) this yaqeen we obtained in the light of
Quran and Sunnah.
 Ain ul yaqeen is not possible in this duniya because we cannot see Allah in this duniya
we cannot see Jannah in this duniya.
 Allah(SWT) only wants Haq-Ul-Yaqeen from us that Allah exists, Jannah exists.

 Iman has three root words (Hamza Meem Nun) Aman (Peace) it means create peace in
your life through iman

 Deen teach us the way of life.Deen also has three root words( daal yaa nun)

 There is another word in Arabic Dain (it has also three root words like deen) it means
debt/loan/liability. Debt means something we take and return it in a same way as
taken.

 Life itself is debt from Allah.

 Follow the deen to repay that debt is to follow the deen.

 Iman : Belief System and it is internal
 Islam: it depends on Action it is External

 Islam means to fulfill five pillars of Islam

 Root of Islam are (seen laam meem) and word (salam) has same roots words it
means to admit Islam also means to create peace through submission.
 Submission is of two types one is (huqooq Allah) and second is (huqooq al ibad)
submission is incomplete without these two things.
 Allah has not need of our prayers or fast or anything it is need of us to be a good
human.
 The perfect definition for person according to islam is who submits.

 IHSAN:
 System of accountability means what we are doing in this world good or bad we will
be accountable for that on the day of judgement.
 Ihsan has three root words ( Haa Seen Nun). Husan which means (Beauty) this
means creation of beauty.
 Ihsan means: To worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you cannot achieve this state
of devotion then you must consider that He is looking at you.
 In islam (worship/Ibadat) has brief meaning. In Arabic language Ibad means
slave(Ghulam).Allah create human being for his slavery.
 Our each and every moment is watching by Allah so we will be accountable for that.
Our public and private life is being watched by Allah.
IMAN:

 Prophet was aked by angel gibrael that what is iman. Then prophet doesn’t tell what
iman is but they tell that what iman in.
 Iman is to believe on Articles of Faith

 Belief system of iman is accept it by heart, tongue and apply on yourself by your actions.
 Islam has created the boundaries for momin if he/she cross those boundaries is kafir.

 In history of Islam there was a group known as karamiya their believe was that the
meaning of iman is only to accept by tongue. They quote hadith that (Prophet says if
someone recite kalma and die so he will enter in Jannah.(but it is not the definition of
iman)

 Another group was (Marjiya) they belive that if person accept by heart so he/she will enter
in Jannah. They also made the reference of hadith that (Prophet says Agar kisi insan kay dil
main rai ka danay kay barabar bhee iman hai to woh Jannat main dakhil hoga). It is also
rejected because action and acceptance by tongue is necessary.

 Another group was who believe that who accept iman by (Heart,Tongue,Action) is momin
and it is the true definition of Momin but in the period of Prophet there were two groups
Khawarij/Mautazilla they say that he/she is momin who have iman by
(Heart,Tongue,Actions)

 According their definition if a person is disbeliever and not doing their actions right will go
to hell. Sinner is disbeliever. (Definition by Khawarij and Mautazilla)

 Nafs-e-Iman: The one who accepts iman by (Heart and tongue ) lies In nafs e iman and
he/she will be considered as momin.

 Kamil-Momin: He or she will be consider as kamil momin who accepts iman by

(Heart,Tongue,Actions)

 Khulood Finar: (Hellfire Forever): it is for disbeliever he/she will no enter in this who
enters nafs-e-iman
 Dukhool-Finar: (entry in hellfire)

 He/she lies in Nafs e iman and don’t focus on their action will thrown to hell but after their
punishment the will rewarded by Jannah so being kamil momin is necessary to prevent
from Dukhool finar

 There are some other aspects regarding( Farz,Wajib,Sunnah Mukidah,Gair Mukidah)

 In Nimaz-e-Isha:
 4 Rakat (Farz)
 3 Witr(Wajib)
 Sunnah Mukidah (2 Rakat)
 Sunnah Gair Mukdah (4 Sunnah)
 Farz is also called wajib in terms of actions.
 Our Prophet Never Leaves Farz Wajib in any circumstances
 Sunnah Mukidah: it can only be left in three reasons
 When we are sick
 In travel
 Or In jihad

 Sunnah Gair Mukdah(Optional)

 On the day of judgement we will accountable for our deed according to iman
 If a non- believer do good-deeds he will not accountable for that on the day of
judgement.
 Example: Weight has has formula mass x gravity if gravity becomes zero.if there is some
mass the value of weight remains nill same example is for kafir if kafir do good deeds so
he will not rewarded for anything.

 ISLAMIC SCHOLARLY TRADITION:

 Life teach us two things become an expert in (any field) or trust an expert in any field.
 Deen also teach us (to trust an expert or become expert)
 Ex: Alim (Selfish motive, Different opinion so he will be accountable for that)

 ISLAMIC (Quran and Sunnah)

 Scholarly(Expertise)

 Tradition(Chain of scholarship)

 Purpose of Maqasid – e – Nabuwat

 Tilawat-e-Ayat(Recitation of Ayat)

 Purify them (tazkiya)

 Teach them book

 Teach them Wisdom

 Difference between Prophet and other Anbiya: Prophet (PBUH) is for all time to
come and he is for all nation
 Other anbiyas are time bound and nation bound
 Nabuwat of prophet is Kamil and Mukammal and it covers possible aspect.
