Raise and lower bucket
Travel excavator forward at least 20 feet
Travel excavator in reverse at least 20 feet
Accomplish a “pivot” turn of at least 180 degrees
Accomplish a “spot” turn of at least 180 degrees
Travel the excavator forward while swinging the upper works to a position
90 degrees (clockwise) from the travel direction and continue at least 30
feet the bring the excavator to a full stop
With the excavator at a full stop rotate the upper works back to the front
(270 degrees) in a clockwise direction
6. Excavator shut-down
Move excavator to designated shut-down area
Properly shut-down and secure excavator

When checking tires, make sure valve stem in on top of the tire, fluid can spurt out if it is not.
Check hydraulic hoses and connections for leaks
Check hydraulic level in morning before starting machine, or make sure boom is retracted and
outriggers are up
Check battery fluid level
Make sure to put diesel in diesel fuel tank, NOT hydraulic oil tank
Operating:
When driving roll forks back to cradle load and lift boom so you can see to your right
When carrying cylinders, MUST have caps on and gauges disconnected
When people call on radio, ask them if they have the correct straps
Once the outriggers are down you can't use the level indicator. That operates off of the right front
tire.
Rigging/Loading:
Make sure all loads are stable and secure
Explain attachment capabilities and how to change
Explain fork pinch points and when adjusting forks
Loading loose items, i.e. 5 gallon buckets on pallet, load into their truck and then meet them to unload
All loads must be secure and stable
Choke or rig pipe on mast NOT forks
If there are sticks of pipe that you need to take up the hill, put on pipe rack on truck or load on trailer
to move. Don't try to take it through the plant raising and lowering your boom to get around
obstacles.
DO NOT rig off of forks
Use truss boom for ease of setting materials or equipment
DO NOT let people stand or walk under the load or mast
Have one spotter giving you directions, not 3 or 4
