Chapter 1: Writing Fate

People say that when you wish for something with all your heart, it will come into existence. He wished
not for money or fame or power. He only wished for someone to understand him, see him as he truly is.
Living a life where he felt out of place and out of time, someone who never belonged to anyone or
anywhere. Days went by and his wish became stronger with no solution offered by the skies. He waited
for that miracle he wished for.

Time heals everything, she hoped that all the hurt she felt would go away and she would eventually
forget. The pain and grief she felt from the person she loved was unimaginable. Trauma from the past
affected her present and she felt nothing could change it. The fear of experiencing that all over again
made her cage herself. She wished to be left alone and at peace.

Both are braver than they think as both were strong to fight through their shackles and reach for their
happiness. Their will to change their circumstances was strong enough to force God into writing their
fates together and weave it together and spread it across the stars. Butterfly effect is when something
small like the wingbeat of a butterfly can cause something dramatic such as a Hurricane, but it can also
cause something wonderful, something enchanting.

As he walked, lost in his thoughts about all the things he wanted to do but could not do due to his
inaction, a small Yellow butterfly caught his gaze. He stopped to watch the butterfly as it rose to the sky
and vanished. Few Kids bumped him, “Hey, are you blind? I am practicing for the gaming competition”
scolded the kids. He thought to himself, “Gaming Competition huh? Maybe I should destroy those kids in
the competition”. He thought to himself as he registered for the competition.

Tired from work, she laid on her bed scrolling through her social media. She loved social media as she
could express her thoughts on it without getting judged or criticized. She always thought of herself as a
typical girl who wanted typical things but felt she was not getting peace. As she scrolled she saw a
picture of a blue butterfly, she looked in amazement before she was interrupted by her sister, “You are
good at shooting games right? Did you register for the competition?”. She had not heard about the
competition, and after learning about it she registered for it.

As the boy started watching the livestream and looking for the available games to play, he found out
that his favorite genre was fully booked and all that was left was shooting games. He entered the chat
room, where the chats were filled with brags and insults at each other. He did not like to draw any
attention to himself. She straight away entered her favorite game’s chat room and waited for the game
to start. She was disappointed after seeing the insults in the chat as she realized that most were from
men. The event was global and had many players from different countries. Both of them waited for the
game to start not knowing how this event was going to change their lives. The boy gave his all and
managed to survive the first round of elimination. As he let out a relief, he saw the scoreboard which
read as “1st Thor_9961, 2nd Dumbbrat, 3rd Ch@r1e5”. Each of the top players had more than 50 kills.
She cracked her knuckles for further rounds. Within the next round He got eliminated, he got shot by
Username Dumbbrat. He accidently switched on his speaker and yelled “ Dumbbrat, That shot was so
good , I am not even sad that I got Killed, shit is the speaker on? Sorry” before switching off the speaker.
After an Hour,the competition ended and the results were shown as Grand Champion as Thor_9961 and
Runner ups as Dumbbrat and Nojoke345. Winners had to speak or type their thoughts. Obviously
Thor_9961 turned out to be a 13 year old Kid who bragged about his win. All the other players smiled
painstakingly at his speech. When Dumbbrat was asked, momentarily the Camera was switched on to
reveal the girl. She yelled “Giatay” and switched off her camera. The Boy was shocked to see her, as he
never expected a girl in this game and also won at it. The Chat exploded with many asking her about her
social media and flirting with her. She thanked everyone and logged off. Before the boy could log off, he
got a text. He was nervous when he saw the notification “Dumbbrat sent you 1 message”. He opened
the message which read “Sorry to Kill you”, to which he replied “Are you Kidding, that was an honor to
have been killed in that manner, But I won’t give up, next time maybe”. She sent a laughing emoji
followed by “Just Like Asta from Black Clover?”. They then talked about various things and exchanged
social media. “You are so fun,” she said. “You are pretty, amazing at games, watch anime, you are the
perfect girl, I wish you were my girl” said the boy jokingly, Fully expecting a backlash. What he received
made his heart beat faster, two words from her made his world upside down, her words “Why not?”. He
was nervous, happy, overwhelmed, everything all at once.

“Are we a couple now?”

“Of course we are.”

They both laughed.
