Rachels quote describes the scene where the village is voting to let Leah participate in the hunt.
Tata Kuvudundu is furious at the fact that a women is participating in the hunt due to their
traditional beliefs. His reaction shows signs of arrogance and irony. He and the other villagers
have spent the entire storying trying to fight Nathan and rid the village of his Christian beliefs,
yet in this scene they act just as arrogant as Nathan. They try to overturn a fairly discussed
matter simply because it does not abide with traditional beliefs, which in turn makes them no
better than how Nathan acts.
