EXPLORE CPEC

Introduction
CPEC stands for China Pakistan Economic Corridor. It is an ongoing development mega project which
aims to connect Gwadar Port of Pakistan to Chain’s north-western region of Xinjiang, via a network of
highways and pipelines. The main purpose of CPEC is to connect the China and Pakistan with the central
Asia, Middle East and Africa. The main purpose of connecting the entire world is to shape out the entire
world countries for trade. The main trade purposes of CPEC is the Energy project of China for Pakistan
and the transportation of services and goods of china.

Benefits for Pakistan :-


CPEC is very important project for both countries China as well as Pakistan. Most of the Pakistani
problems are solved through this project. The most important and very rare problem of Pakistan is
Electricity cries in Pakistan and through this project all the energy cries are to be ended because china
singed the energy project which purpose is to end the energy crisis from Pakistan. The second and the
most important factor is the reduction in oil bills which have a leading effect on Pakistan economy. This
project leads the import of some goods from Pakistan to other countries the most important one in to
import the coal from Pakistan to china. As we all know that Pakistan have a big resource of coal at
Karachi through this project we are able to import this coal to other countries. The most important is the
development of weak and wrecked structures of the country roads and railways throughout Pakistan
and this make easy to transport all the goods throughout Pakistan. And the most important factor is the
rate of unemployment in Pakistan decrease because there is inflation of jobs in Pakistan.

Benefits for China:-


China is a major importer of oil from Gulf. The distance from Gulf will come down to 2500Km
from currently 13000Km. As the main purpose is to reduce the time by traveling through sea from
Gwadar to other countries. The shipment time will reduce from 45 day’s to 10 day’s. And the second big
factor is the development all the underdeveloped western provinces of china. Through this project
China is connected to Asian states and Arabian countries so their trade increases and they are able to
transport their goods in all theses states. Similarly investments and initiatives with other countries like
Indonesia, Bangladesh and with central Asian countries, making China wield greater influence in Asia.

Challenges :-
CPEC faces many challenges including political challenges, Economic And Administrative challenges. One
of the most important and basic Challenge is the political instability and the unrest of the country. As we
now that our country is facing the political challenges and the changing of the government and the
government policies leads to the war between the province of Pakistan and the central Government.
Economic problems include the imbalance of trades between the province and many other issues. Many
International Countries are against this project because their economy and trade is affected by this
projects this includes India and America.
