DOODHSAGAR

Corruption is prevalent within Doodhsagar. Doodhsagar officials had paid large bonuses to their
employees. For this reason, they had tried to save money on matters pertaining to the bridge
project, even before the project started. They had deliberately spent less money for the raw
materials and items required for the project. This included the cement, planks, type of wood, etc.
which were all obtained at very cheap prices, and were of inferior quality. This inferior quality of
materials may have possibly been the reason behind the collapse of the pillar and subsequent
deaths of the workers.

After the incident, Doodhsagar had to compensate the families of the deceased. A large amount
of money was put toward this endeavour, and due to this, Doodhsagar is currently running very
low on their budget. In addition, the new financial year was yet to start, and they would be able to
obtain new funds and a new budget, approved by the government, only after it started. Doodhsagar
needs to settle the matter with Ansari and negotiate a plan to pay the money to Ansari in
instalments instead of paying it all at once.

Indo was more economically and culturally developed than Chini. Indochini had stated that the
reason for building the bridge, was to bridge the gap between the 2 regions of Indochini. It was
done to promote a sense of unity among the regions and wished to further the reintegration of the
regions, both socially and culturally. However, the real reason for the bridge was to serve
Indochini’s strategic interests.

The bridge was not to bridge the gap between the regions, but to create a trade route with
Indochini’s neighbour, Brooklynstan. The Indochini government had entered into multiple
bilateral agreements with the Brooklynstan government, and had made numerous deals with them.
If the bridge did not get finished on time, Indochini would not only be unable to complete those
deals, but would also face public humiliation in the international community.

For this reason, Doodhsagar must announce the date of the inauguration of the bridge. They must
announce this inauguration within 3 months, so that they can maintain their image in the
international community.
