Ötzi The Iceman
Ötzi The Iceman
Hunt to survive
Ötzi was killed while going hunting. Why do I think that? For the simple fact that before, meals
were scarcer, and people would do anything to stay fed. If you did not have a good game, you could
not feed, trade, or even create good clothing with the animal's leather, and less if they are cold areas.
I deduce this because Ötzi carried hunting tools such as arrows, a knife and the spare part. The
strongest and bravest men were those who went hunting because even if they were attacked by wild
animals, they could have some strategy to escape from them or defend themselves, something that
most could not do in those times. That is why I think Ötzi was one brave hunter. Furthermore, he was
killed on the mountain. Maybe he was on his way to pick up some game he had done previously and
was chased and then wounded from behind. They left his body covered in that perfect place as if he
had been lost and starved since the wound was not seen.
Investigation
Another thing was that they also investigated what was the last food Ötzi ate before he was
killed. It was revealed to be a very high-fat diet, in addition to certain types of toxic meat, cereal, and
ferns. The last thing he ingested with exactitude was meat from animals such as ibex (a type of goat)
and a red deer. Similarly, it was found on the border of Italy, Austria and Switzerland. It was in the
highest part of Ötzal Alps. So, it was a good place where he could find mountain animals to hunt.
Finally
The death of the ice man nicknamed Ötzi after the place where he was found, Ötzal Alps,
remains a mystery. We can only deduce or create a conclusion with the evidence of scientists and
think what happened to him. It is interesting how there are many possibilities and causes of his death
