Romans 12 9-21

Matthew 28 19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing

them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy
Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have
commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of
the world.

John 18:37 (KJV)

Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus
answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and
for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto
the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

God’s to-do list for us.

Matthew 13 19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and
understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth
away that which was sown in his heart.

The Christian language is a foreign language to the lost; Our words

do not have the same meaning. Our actions are interpreted through
their world view. Powers and principalities have hijacked much of the
Lord’s words and symbols. Peace, tying Christian symbols to racist
orgs. rainbow

Words matter, but so does the way you present them and yourself.
Not talking about people who come to church looking: Sinners in the
hands of an angry God. Talking about the lost who don’t care about
Christ or don’t even know they are lost. Going to Florida from Texas
and at a gas station in Colorado.

Our approach. Foreigner helping when you have dropped your bags.
We must make sure that we explain the difference in the
world’s use of a word and the Biblical use and what it
means to us.

Boldly - To the world it has become almost to mean what crass

means to a Christian. Means try to be as offensive as possible, they
flaunt their sin. A lack of shame and never questioning their
actions. Then try to destroy anyone who offends them with
condemnation.

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of

grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of
need. (Called to a judges bench.)

Ephesians 6:20
for which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak
boldly, as I ought to speak. (an ambassador brings a rulers
statement, Paul brings the Word of God, therefore he can speak with
supreme confidence.)

Mark 15:43
Joseph of Arimathæa, an honourable counsellor, which also waited
for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and
craved the body of Jesus. (Craved, he was driven by God. Acting
on God’s will is the surest thing we will ever do.)

Our words should be bold, but our approach should be as well.

Righteousness - The lost usually refer to themselves as being

basically a good person, or nobody is perfect, but I try to do my best;
it is about their self. They think a Christian sees themselves as
being completely good and just. Paul tells us that we are all sinners
and he claims himself chief. The lost need to understand we know
we are sinners, but we have repented, begged the Lord for
forgiveness and freedom of our sins. The righteousness we have is
not about any good in us, but rather God views us as righteous
because his Son, Jesus Christ covers us in His righteousness. Think
of someone we grieved when we were lost, could they ever see us
as righteous?

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew
no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Romans 4:22 And therefore it was imputed to him for

righteousness

1 Corinthians 1 29-30
That no flesh should glory in his presence. But of him are ye in
Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and
righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:.

Hope - (Google) is not a strategy, hope is a discipline. The world

sees hope as a wish. I hope I win the lottery, get the promotion.
Christians sometimes fall under this fallacy. I hope he finds Jesus.
Rather it should be I pray. Christian Hope is not a wish, but the
confidence of what is to come. A student has hope of the start of
summer break. It is coming, nothing will stop it. The student may
have to endure tests and weary teachers, but summer is coming.
Our hope is on our Heavenly home. It is assured, Jesus is
preparing it right now. The lost hear us talk about the hope of
Heaven and assume we are wishing we can get there. …..

Hebrews 6:19 which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both

sure and stedfast (Hope is our anchor, seas may swirl, tides may
change, but we will be sure in our position in Heaven.)

Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in
believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the
Holy Ghost.

1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto
a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
Truth - Google (is relative, is subjective.) Truth is in the eye of the
beholder or interpret. Trans (the beginning.) (1980 - all we want is to
not be discriminated against, 2022 gives us your children so we can
help them determine their gender.) The world believes truth is what
you declare. I can lie to my boss about missing work, small lie I can
maintain. Lies of He/she. Force others to repeat the lie, try to make
them believe it.

1 John 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in

tongue; but in deed and in truth. (Don’t act like you love someone,
you must truly love them.)

John 8 31-32 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him,
If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye
shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (There are
walls closing in on us when we are deceptive, but when we tell the
truth, we are free from being made a liar.)

John 14:6 (KJV)

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man
cometh unto the Father, but by me. (The only man that was full of
truth. He also brought us the truth about his Father and the plan and
execution of our salvation.)

Speak truthfully of the Lord, the Gospel, but also be truthful in your
actions.

Joy - an act of resistance. Is a choice. The world sees joy as the

pursuit of whatever releases you from the concerns of the world.
Alcohol, improper relationships, entertainment and frivolous pursuits
are where the lost seek joy. Come feel by being joyous in their
activism that they can overcome the “hatred” espoused by
conservative Christians. They learn that these false joys eventually
fade, then they jump from one to another or some combination.
They cannot understand the true Joy a Christian has. Our joy in
Christ is a stumbling block, because they view him as just a man.
They cannot fathom the love he has and sacrifice he made for us
(and them.) There is enough joy in those two truths to last a lifetime,
but there is some much more for us to joyful about:

Luke 2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I
bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
(Jesus Christ descended from heaven to bring the Joy of salvation,
freedom and eternal life to the world.)

Romans 14:17 for the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but
righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. (Our joy
comes from within, it is not predicated on the results of a ball game
or a job, but from the Spirit of God residing inside us.)

Luke 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are
subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written
in heaven. (What greater joy than knowing how it all ends, it is a
greater joy than any deed we may do for the Lord or in His name.)

Tell the Gospel story joyously, but also live your life full of joy that
makes the lost curious what you have or know that they do not.

Faith - The lost base their faith in something based on their own
reasoning. They assume others like them have similar mindsets and
ambitions. Look at faith in government polls…. When people
change, who they put their faith in changes. To us, faith is an
unwavering KNOWING that God created everything, and because
man fell, Jesus lowered himself to be made sin and took the
punishment that we deserve so that we made be made righteous
and through Grace, be allowed to enter into the narrow gate of
Heaven. We have faith, supreme confidence, in our Lord who saved
us from the punishment of sin, from the love of sin and from the
slavery of sin. He has filled us with a Holy Spirit that guides us
through an ugly dying world. AND IT NEVER CHANGES. The only
true faith can be in the One who never changes.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not
of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (Faith is a blessing, beliving in
nothing allows a person to fall for anything. Our faith is instilled in us
by God, not due to what good deeds we have done, but simply
through his loving free grace.)

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the
evidence of things not seen. (Things Hoped for - heaven, peace,
salvation)

Hebrews 12:2 looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our
faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross,
despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne
of God. (The Lord starts faith in us, Jesus Christ finished it. When we
looked to Jesus to save us, our sins were nailed to the cross and we
were made faithful through the relief and joy we immediately felt.)

Eternal - Lost see it as undying or immortal. It is difficult for many to

understand that the soul exists forever even when the body dies.
They believe there is nothingness beyond this life. This is proven
wrong with Luke 16:19.

John 3:15 that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but
have eternal life.

Titus 1:2 in hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie,
promised before the world began;

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Matthew 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting

punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. (There is another
stumbling stone here. The lost will try to bind you up with “How could
a just God send people to hell?”
Rule of law. Should Hitler go to hell… What about Gacy, Oswald.
Someone who mocks a transgender unto suicide?
C.S. Lewis wrote, “In the long run the answer to all those who object
to the doctrine of hell, is itself a question: ‘What are you asking God
to do?’ To wipe out their past sins and, at all costs, to give them a
fresh start …? But he has done so, on Calvary. To forgive them?
They do not want to be forgiven. To leave them alone? Alas, I am
afraid that is what he does.”
