The historical pilgrimage that interests me the most is mount Kailash, Tibet. People complete it because following Buddhist belief circling the mountain 108 times will lead you to Nirvana. For 15,000 years people have believed that circling the mountain along a 52-kilometer trek will bring them good fortune it is also the oldest pilgrimage site on the planet. I chose it because, despite being not Buddhist, I believe that hiking and taking a walk have a significant impact on us. During this unending city life with stress and problems, it may help us overcome anxiety and depression. Also, it is an ancestral monument and location, so I would love to see the statues and beautiful scenery. To conclude, pilgrimage has lots of religious goals but it may also have a spiritual effect on us, they are a great opportunity to take time for yourself.
